My little boy has recently been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. I was totally heartbroken when we found out! Since then when people have offered him sweets/at partys/in shops, when I have to tell people he can't have things and why, This is usually followed by chubbie thirty to fifty year olds moaning to me that they or a relative have type 2 diabetes and how hard it is for them!

Type 2 is self inflicted.... btw..
I am soo angry that this has happened to my son.... He is only 4 (through no fault of his own Or anyone else) I just want to shout at them to shut up,stop eating so much shit and move around a bit more!!

This may not make sense, but AIBU?

I don't think that kind of posting behaviour exists as much as people think, I think people can just be annoyed at a poster and are trying to get that across, there's no colluding and bullying...

snoozathon · 26/08/2010 20:04

Maybe not colluding in the sense that people know each other in RL, but people definitely rile each other up and several threads have turned quite nasty because of it IMO.

Again I reiterate it wasn't addressed to you and literally nothing to do with the fact you've been here a while, don't think it is please, that's just silly. I was speaking generally to whoever was getting overly personal to kitty and assuming all sorts of things about her personality.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 26/08/2010 20:06

Kitty was saying things like "fat people are disgusting and make me feel sick".

I think that was enough to rile people up on it's own, to be honest.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 26/08/2010 20:06

Personally, if i came on here and said something like "a whole sector of society is disgusting" I'd EXPECT to be ripped to shreds, not bleat about being bullied and act all innocent.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 26/08/2010 20:07

its own Blush

RubyBuckleberry · 26/08/2010 20:07

hi snoozathon, you said 'tangent is used to make it clear to a poster just how 'out of the loop' she is.' i'm not trying to fight with you here - i have seen this before on a few random threads where people appear to actually know each other which is a bit weird - why not phone each other Confused -but i didn't really feel it was like that. maybe that is because i take this whole mumsnet lark at face value. people who say weird things could be really nice in RL, people who sound like they are on a level with you could be complete knobs haha!

anyway, glad you're not flouncing fanjo... Grin

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 26/08/2010 20:09

thanks Ruby

RubyBuckleberry · 26/08/2010 20:15

lol we need a kiss emoticon (or would that be too bleurgh and not 'ard enuff for mumsnet haha)

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 26/08/2010 20:15

yes..people are not like they are on here..I, for example am the shyest meekest person on EARTH (truly)

RubyBuckleberry · 26/08/2010 20:17

'fat people are disgusting and make me feel sck' i must have missed that. haha that is going to piss people off! did she actually say that?

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 26/08/2010 20:19

something like that..poetic licence here.

RubyBuckleberry · 26/08/2010 20:22

she didn't actually say that = i've just skim read all hr posts - correct me if i am wrong. or not. perhaps we should call this a day!

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 26/08/2010 20:23

i cant remember exactly what she said tbh

RubyBuckleberry · 26/08/2010 20:24

oh ok x posts... sorry.

kittywise · 26/08/2010 20:29

that's not poetic license that's lying, shame on you fanjo, shame on you.Angry

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 26/08/2010 20:31

oh come on, you said some pretty nasty stuff about overweight people so don't go acting all wounded just because I can't remember the exact words. Hmm

kittywise · 26/08/2010 20:31

how about I start a few threads saying fanjo said.....? Ah well it was a just a bit of poetic license. Would that be alright with you? I thought you were better than that, not great, but better than that.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 26/08/2010 20:32

start whatever threads you like kitty Smile

I think that might make you look worse than me, but who knows eh Smile

kittywise · 26/08/2010 20:34

`I'm not wounded, no, not at all. I don't like being lied about. I don't like people saying I've said things I haven't. I'll be answerable to the things I have said not things that have been made up by someone else. I'm pissed off with that fanjo, nothing else

kittywise · 26/08/2010 20:35

Yes and now I know you will lie about people to suit yourself.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 26/08/2010 20:35

Fine..be pissed off if you like. I have neither the mental energy nor the inclination to wrangle with you...so be pissed off/start threads/whinge...whatever you like dear Smile

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 26/08/2010 20:36

"Yes and now I know you will lie about people to suit yourself."

Oh no, does that mean you don't like me ..excuse me while I go and cry into my cocoa.

kittywise · 26/08/2010 20:44

all it means is I know you lie. Has nothing to do with liking you. I don't know you at all really. But I do know you lie.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 26/08/2010 20:45

well know this too:

I am not talking to you any more. At all.

Bye Smile

kittywise · 26/08/2010 20:46

thank christ for that
