daftpunk I know, but I didn't want to put what I really think.

arsani · 19/08/2010 10:10

Yes Barmy Army

daftpunk · 19/08/2010 10:10

Agree BB.

(It's the sense of entitlement alot of them have - makes them forget their manners I think)

sanielle · 19/08/2010 10:10

barmyarmy
"Am I a Tory trying to counter the overwhelming preponderance of left-wing sentimentality on MN at every opportunity?"

  1. Why do you have to counter it on Mumsnet? is this a hotbed of leftist propaganda? I come on here to talk about crap and judge people for being unreasonable.
  1. Do you really need to start a thread about a woman who is so at the end of her tether because she can't even keep her child in nappies that she needed to get it all out on mumsnet?

Really? You had to counter that? God you are a tosser.

pagwatch · 19/08/2010 10:14

Good grief , we can start a fight about anything can't we.

I personally am pleased that Riven raised the matter.
I am pleased that DC said he would investigate and try and sort it out.
I am pleased he has done so.

It doesn't make me a fan. It doesn't make me hate him.

To roll your eyes and say 'well, OK, he's done this but he is still a twat because of 27 other things... so ner' seems rather lacking in grace. And makes some labour supporters seem churlish and petty.
Starting a thread about how people should apologise seems rather like shit stirring. And makes some tory supporters seem bullying and wankerish.

daftpunk · 19/08/2010 10:15

2shoes...just give it back without shouting troll.. no personal attacks and keep swearing to a minimum.. remember, we're all here to make each others lives easier..Smile

tethersend · 19/08/2010 10:16

Yay!

sense of entitlement

First on my bingo card... now waiting for:

We the taxpayer have to foot the bill
The well is dry
Gravy train
Bleeding the country dry

Anyone else want to play?

Jaquelinehyde · 19/08/2010 10:16

OK I shall apologise to him...

David I am sorry that you are a tosser, if there was anything I could do to help I would, but my budgets have been slashed in your vital cutbacks and I can't afford to. Sorry.

That ok?

arsani · 19/08/2010 10:17

Yes BA I really think that you are a mean- spirited person

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 19/08/2010 10:25

Do you really need to start a thread about a woman who is so at the end of her tether because she can't even keep her child in nappies that she needed to get it all out on mumsnet?

Sanielle - I would like to see Barmy's answer to this question of yours too. As arsani says, I think it shows true meanness of spirit, and he should be ashamed.

Barmy - I think I need to remind you that Riven did not post the original thread because she wanted to make a political point, but because she wants her child to be dry and clean and comfortable, and is despairing because the inadequate provision of continence products makes her dd wet, dirty, uncomfortable and unhappy.

Why would you want to make this woman feel any worse? Doing so, imo, is nasty and vicious, and shows you in a very poor light indeed - worse, even than your postings on the other thread did, though I would have doubted that was possible!

Oops - sorry - double posted.

cupcakesandbunting · 19/08/2010 10:27

Grin at Jaqueline.

Claw3 · 19/08/2010 10:28

Barmyarmy, you are trifling in things you have no real understanding of. You owe Riven an apology.

Claw3 · 19/08/2010 10:36

Barmyarmy, are you pottering in the garden again?

tethersend · 19/08/2010 10:38

I bet he's worn a trench down the middle of the lawn what with all the pottering he's been doing lately.

CatIsSleepy · 19/08/2010 10:39

pottering in the garden? is that some kind of euphemism?

You Misunderstand me 2shoes.

I wasn't talking about Riven personally, I was talking in general. And generally speaking lefties have a sense of entitlement that you don't find in other people. I think the disabled deserve all the help they can get, and I wouldn't begrudge them a penny.

I was thinking more of the women who have 6 kids by 6 different fathers and expect everyone else to pay for them...

I wasn't put on this earth to pay for feckless idiots.

CatIsSleepy · 19/08/2010 10:46

'I was thinking more of the women who have 6 kids by 6 different fathers and expect everyone else to pay for them...'

are such people generally lefties? how do you know dp?

Claw3 · 19/08/2010 10:46

Catissleepy, yes i suppose it is. BA avoids answering questions when they get a bit difficult and then returns a few hours later after being in the garden and continues to discuss as if the questions have not been asked.

From now on i think avoiding answering tricky questions, should be known as pottering in the garden or pottering for short! Smile

agedknees · 19/08/2010 10:47

Why should parents of disabled children say thank you for just getting what their dc clinically need?

4 nappies a day is an insult. How can anyone keep skin intact and in good condition when they are only allowed 4 changes of nappies a day?

LetThereBeRock · 19/08/2010 10:48

'I wasn't put on this earth to pay for feckless idiots.'

No,but you seem happy to vote for them.
