is anyone else unbearably irritated by this program? I run for the remote as soon as it starts, even my DC aren't keen on it thankfully for my ears.
Is it a complete BBC flop? Bring on more Charlie and Lola and less of the Zingcrap.

Ohhh you can tell this thread has hit a nerve. Sarah Jane, is she the one from Tikibila and Mighty Mites? If so she can go in the dark room too.

belly36 · 27/07/2010 11:44

My DS calls it Bloody Zingzillas

MrsLevinson · 27/07/2010 11:48

Ooh yes Katy from I can Cook - very annoying, can't put my finger on why though?

harassedinhants · 27/07/2010 11:54

Yanbu!!

Can't stand Zingzillas, and luckily dd is not too fussed either .

I have also brainwashed trained her not to like the Wiggles and the Bopps too.........result!!

Chulita · 27/07/2010 12:04

YANBU at all - DD loves the final song but how do they get away with lyrics like 'we'll be practising, for the big zing' and 'hanging loose with DJ loose' etc Agree about Tang's whiny voice, I'd like to string him up and pluck him til he gets some balls.
And so, so, so agree on Nisha and Mister Maker...argh! [goes off to bash something]

MamaVoo · 27/07/2010 12:10

DS loves Zingzillas and so do I, but it is repeated far too often.

My all time CBeebies low point was that bloody pink taxi driver woman in Me Too.

MajorPettigrew · 27/07/2010 12:14

Why have they taken Tinga tales off????

That was one prog that we ALL liked.

YANBU Zingzillas is a pile of poo.

teaandcakeplease · 27/07/2010 12:15

YANBU I haven't read all the posts on here but it looks like they spent quite a bit of money on it and all the puppeteers try so hard with the blinks and waving arms excessively etc but both my DCs are bored stiff by it and it definitely makes me reach for the remote everytime.

I quite like Mister Maker and Nisha but it does both seem like they try too hard too. My kids fav programme is Chris and Poy's show me show me.

OneTwoBuckleMyShoe · 27/07/2010 12:16

Major I know I was annoyed when Tinga went off, so much so I have ordered the DVD!

MajorPettigrew · 27/07/2010 12:19

So have I!
I love the theme tune (break out into 'Tales from Africaaaaaaaaaaaa')

OneTwoBuckleMyShoe · 27/07/2010 12:20

I just love voice spotting! I got stupidly excited when Stephen "Pretty lady, pretty lady, hmmmm" K Amos was the Jackal!

NotSoRampantRabbit · 27/07/2010 12:21

MY boss started scatting the other day and I joined in (we are a happy little team!). Then we spent ages trying to work out what we were singing and realised it was the scat song from Zingzillas.

De doo bee do bee do bee dobadee dooooo, do be do dooo, do ba de dooo....

How sad I have become!

CiderIUp · 27/07/2010 12:22

Show me show me is fab - Chris and Pui rule.

Katy isn't too bad till she starts singing. Those songs beat even my finely honed CBeebies tuning out skills, beeatch.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 27/07/2010 12:26

I really like Zingzillas

Very sad Tinga Tinga is gone though, DS loves that, but it is good to see Chris and Pui back.

laurielee · 27/07/2010 12:26

YANBU x 1000. It is the most irratating children's pogramme I have come across and it's especially annoying that there are actually some really good ones out there (I espcially liked Show me, Show me) and we are stuck with this crap.

Unfortunately DS seems to love it - grrr.

AnathemaDevice · 27/07/2010 12:28

Zingzillas are awful, but, luckily for me, DS (15 months) agrees- as soon as it starts he walks over to the telly and switches it off!

Now all I need to do is get him over his Iggle Piggle obsession...

laurielee · 27/07/2010 12:30

Alibaba, ooh good that Show me, Show me is back on. Do you know when?

FionaSH · 27/07/2010 12:31

My DS loves it, I HATE it. Why is it necessary to introduce apes dressed like they're going to Glastonbury to the under-3's? I like the fact they're trying to introduce different music styles....but DJ Loose?? Is it really age appropriate?

I hate it almost as much as Dirt Girl - wholly inappropriate with her sexy come-on winking...

teaandcakeplease · 27/07/2010 12:35

10.35am is Show me show me.

I meant Pui not Poy in my earlier post oops

MrsJohnDeere · 27/07/2010 12:37

I love Zingzillas.

Waybuloo and Lazytown are the ones that I have to turn off. Irritate the hell out of me.

FionaSH · 27/07/2010 12:39

Oooo yes, Katy from I Can Cook. I think it's because actually there's something about her thats quite fake and I wouldn't be surprised if actually she couldn't stand kids!!!

FunnyLittleFrog · 27/07/2010 12:40

I did like it at first but rapidly going off it - finding Panzee and Tang very, very annoying. And am sick of seeing Julian bloody Lloyd Webber in the glade all the sodding time.

It's still Something Special all the way in our house - DD adores Justin though I find him a bit creepy. He was doing a live show in Scarborough this weekend - £12 per ticket and all he was doing (we could hear over the wall) was singing If You're Happy and You Know it. He's onto a winner there isn't he?

spiderlight · 27/07/2010 12:41

My DS is obsessed with Katy. He even went through a phase of referring to me as 'Katy-mummy'

tortoiseonthehalfshell · 27/07/2010 12:42

Jason, my husband agrees with you, if only because of the theme tune. Sadly, my daughter thinks you are wrongity wrong with wrong sauce.

The only thing I could ever tolerate was Pocoyo, which isn't on (at least here) anymore. For sheer rip-your-eyeballs-from-your-head factor, I nominate Big Cook Little Cook.

bebejones · 27/07/2010 12:53

Zingzillas truly awful IMO, and not allowed on in this house!

Show me show me is fab though. My DD(23months) loves it & it keeps her very entertained! Glad it's back on, will have to look out for it!

The other one I can't stand is Franny & her poxy bloody feet! It's the voice of that voice artist that drives me nuts, but I think she does Zingzillas, Tweenies & Backyardigans & other stuff too & it drives me round the bend!
