totally numpty question

But how do you get rid of your Xmas tree on FV??

Won't let me sell/store it

aberita · 10/01/2010 18:22

That had me stumped for a while too, simpson - you need to click on the delete tool (red handle).

silverfrog · 10/01/2010 18:23

simoson, you use the red delete tool to get rid of the Christmas tree.

anniebeansmum - I oculd loan you a white tiger to level up (but would sadly like it back as I am nearing a level where I need 3 of everyhting)

simpson · 10/01/2010 18:26

thanks guys

Need the space to place all my fences for the fenced in ribbon

simpson · 10/01/2010 18:29

Oooh just found a mystery box in my farm

aberita · 10/01/2010 18:37

How did you manage that?

simpson · 10/01/2010 18:40

dunno when I deleted my Xmas tree it was sitting just behind it

Not going to complain, got loads of XP points

My farm is now covered in white fences

Will have to wait now till peppers are ready to delete field put fences on then sell and replant iyswim

SpookyMadMummy · 10/01/2010 18:54

Still going strong on FV. If you haven't got me as a neighbour then search this username on FB. My initials are N B. Let me know you are on MN please.

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 11/01/2010 15:48

hehe - Spooky - I just searched for you...........only to discover we're already neighbours LOL.

I'm level 61 on FV now

working towards my 3rd star in blackberries

Still working on level 32 in ZW..........got a whole heap more animals to breed before I move up so probably another week or so before I'm up to the next level. However, I'm getting $15million a day from Treasure Hunting now, and have a "zoo day" profit of $106k (with it permanently accruing cash) so gradually building up value by having almost 20 of all the non-breedable animals that I own (well 80% of them - I'm up to the really expensive ones now so taking longer to build up zoo value)

OP posts:
silverfrog · 11/01/2010 16:15

well done on the FV. I went to bed early last night, in preparation for the trek to dd1's school this morning (40 miles each way) and for the first time ever had a field of crops wither I can't believe i forgot about them

I am stuck at the accruing cash stage on ZW - on L29 and need $15 million. Have a daily profit of £65k, so not too bad, but I am now out of the house for at least half the day (leave at 8am, back at 2pm) taking dd1 to school, so it cuold well take a while, as not so much time to just tick over

do you get penalised for not having zookeepers, do you know? as I'm out of friends, andnot inclined to spend a fortune on the couple I need when I am trying to build up cash...

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 11/01/2010 16:22

silver - if you don't mind leaving your compute running while you're out then I can highly recomend

this website for keeping your zoo day ticking over.

Just put in the www of the homepage of zoo world - tell it how often you want it to refresh the page and it'll do all the hard work for you.

I'm not sure about zookeepers, I have enough friends for all my animals so not something I've had to face.......

silverfrog · 11/01/2010 16:28

thanks

computer si a bit creaky and doesn't seem to like being left for long periods of non-use. It quite often enters sleep mode, only we've never established how to wake it up again! I might try it though, since dh is out of the way this week , and see what happens

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 11/01/2010 16:30

lol @ entering sleep mode and not sure how to wake it up again.

thankfully I have a lovely "zippy" computer than I had built for me

OP posts:
silverfrog · 11/01/2010 16:36

I'm really not as tech-unsavvy as that sounds, btw

computer is relatively zippy - only a year old positively ancient in tech terms!) but for some unknown reason, soemtimes it just hibernates.

Fair enough when you have set it to do this, and can therefore ctrl/alt/del to wake up, or wiggle a mouse and enter password etc, but no, it is resolutely in a coma and so you have to do an enforced shutdown, which it obv then freaks out over when you then re-start...

I really don't know how I manage it. My last computer (built for me) wouldn't turn ON

maybe they're trying to tell me sonething aout the amount of time I FV/MN etc?

desertgirl · 11/01/2010 18:56

I found another way of doing ALFA's trick yesterday, and was very excited about it, but as usual she is way ahead of me! mine is a Firefox add-on called ReloadEvery; then when you are on the site you just right click and tell it how often to reload. The reference I found was in an article linked in the comments on www.bukisa.com/articles/192149_my-zoo-tips-achievments-list-and-tips which is a great list, tells you what all the next stages involve so you can plan.

Does not, however, tell me why I can't get my visitor number to 2500 even when I set the ticket price to 1, despite having LOADS of animals (courtesy of yesterday's experiments with ReloadEvery), maybe you have to have things like elephants or lions which I haven't yet discovered. I am gradually inching my way up but still only on 2230 or something.

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 11/01/2010 19:03

this is another good guide (and a forum as well for asking daft questions)

I have SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many more animals to breed - serve me right for having bought one of everything so far including breedables LOL

I think I remember the 2500 one - took me quite a while to get there as well......just keep plugging at it - you'll get there eventually LOL.

will send you an elephants and a lion tomorrow (out of requests for today) if you remind me of your initials and send me a pear tree or two back

OP posts:
desertgirl · 11/01/2010 19:15

can you send more than one gift to the same person on this one?? that's cool. If you really don't mind that would be brilliant - am SLN, pic of me and 2 kids (btw I love the photo of your boys)

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 11/01/2010 19:21

yes - I'm sure I've sent 2 gifts to the same person on this game

OP posts:
MumofOscar · 11/01/2010 20:50

OMG you lot have been busy since i was last here - only a couple of days too! Haven't got time to read the whiole thread so wil have to catch up tomorrow. Just marking my place as thread has dropped off threads i'm on.

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 11/01/2010 21:10

ooo thanks for the pear trees desertgirl -

will send that elephant and lion tomorrow morning

OP posts:
silverfrog · 12/01/2010 07:31

oh blimey, they've added breed mastery on ZW.

All well and good, but the breeding times for each animal increase with each level. The example given (apparently not accurate very useful then!) is:

"breed times have changed. within each breeding rank, there is a time cycle. for example (not accurate):

bronze rank:
1st animal- 4 hours
2nd animal- 12 hours
3rd animal- 48 hours
4th animal- 96 hours

then, when you start silver rank, your animals will follow the same breed cycle which will reset when you reach gold rank...etc"

hmmm, you end up getting wildlife points, which i can't say I'm fussed about, but if the above is true, it's very boring that the breed time increases with each animal you breed - some of them are long enough already!

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 12/01/2010 11:45

and what if we've already bred loads of animals?

OP posts:
Awassailinglookingforanswers · 12/01/2010 11:50

guess the only way to see how it works is to do it

I want wild life points - I want to buy Ultra Rares

btw - have just sent you an elephant and lion

OP posts:
Niecie · 12/01/2010 12:03

Gone up a level on FV and CW. Still struggling towards expansion on CL but have a barn full of crops I haven't done anything with just yet. Wish I could afford automation more often.

So, what is the big deal with ZW then? I played it with DS2 for a while but we got bored - have they changed it recently. Should we give it another go?

silverfrog · 12/01/2010 13:56

Well, I wouldn't mind the wildlife points, but I think they have made it too time consuming to get them (and not sure how many you'll get per animla mastered either!)

I have a few animals now at silver level, and more halfway through bronze, and as you'd expect, points haven't been retrospectively added...

I just finished breeding a komodo dragon, which had a 24hr breed time, and it is still saying 24hrs for the next one, so maybe the timings only change for each level
