I cannot bear Bruce Forsyth. I suspect I won't be alone in this on Mumsnet, but he seems to be viewed as some kind of wonderful old trouper by the general population and by the press. I suspect he is a nasty old git.

i know but if the concept was to see ireland as a whole, then the concept of the united kingdom of Gb and N.I. wouldn't exist to the other poster so i wasn't sure how to phrase the sentence as in the first option the U.K. didn't exist in their mind but in the second it did except it also included the R.O.I. even though i know it was only a wind up (as it was followed by the sentence "In much the same way as some people see Scotland and England as one big countrycalled England!") and the imortant thing is that we all hate bono as one.

Everything is wrong with Helen Mirren. The whole ghastly "I'm an older woman, I'm so sexy" persona. She is not sexy. She wears clothes made for a 30 year old. She looks awful in them.

I don't understand why papers go along with it. Every now and again the media adopts a blanket position on a person and then pursues it contrary to all the evidence.
