I cannot bear Bruce Forsyth. I suspect I won't be alone in this on Mumsnet, but he seems to be viewed as some kind of wonderful old trouper by the general population and by the press. I suspect he is a nasty old git.

I love Stephen Fry!

Luke warm about Brucie.

Can't watch Des O'Connor - makes me skin crawl!

wheresthehamster · 25/01/2009 20:42

MaryAnnSingleton · 25/01/2009 20:42

don't care for Brucie

LuLuMacGloo · 25/01/2009 20:42

Another vote for Maureen Lipman.

NorbertDentressangle · 25/01/2009 20:42

Bruce Forsyth -makes my skin crawl.

Loads of those old comedian types actually -Bob Monkhouse, Ronnie Corbett etc

BitOfFun · 25/01/2009 20:45

Loathe Bruce, and Barrymore (is he still a national treasure?) and Cilla Black. And not keen on Parky either. Or Jonathan Ross- but I don't approve of the Daily Mail's campaign, it smacks of trying to bring down their hated pinko lefty BBC more than anything.

peggotty · 25/01/2009 20:47

I think the thing about those 'old school' comedians is that I think a lot of them are complete prima-donnas, throwing hissy fits and being vile because they've been in the 'business' so long. They all really just need to retire and play golf all day instead of dragging their ageing arses onto our tv screens to do their tired old acts. Bruce Forsyth epitomises this for me!! Bloody hell, give it up Bruce, it obvious you can't really be arsed! (oops turned into a bit of a rant there!)

LadyOfWaffle · 25/01/2009 20:51

Bruce and anyone remotely 'Brucie'. Urgh, thinking of that griiiiiiin makes me squirm.

Megglevache · 25/01/2009 20:51

Bruce.Parky.

Although I do fancy Fry, always did even as a child my mother tells me.

notnowbernard · 25/01/2009 20:52

OMG, yes, Jamie fucking Oliver

RipMacAeFondKiss · 25/01/2009 20:53

Most of those "old style" guys mentioned above.

Terry W - never got the appeal

Cilla - yes, irritating.

Lorraine Kelly - vaguely irritating.

Barbara Windsor - irritating

Jeez - this is therapeutic

LadyOfWaffle · 25/01/2009 20:53

Judy and her husband... Richard! Yes, those two. Dunno why. Too big for their boots I think. And Fiona Phillips.

yama · 25/01/2009 20:53

Ha ha Meggle - my family accuse me of fancying Fry as well.

Megglevache · 25/01/2009 20:54

hehe, that beardy one, with the nasty shirts. Gosh what is his name.....

Megglevache · 25/01/2009 20:54

peggotty · 25/01/2009 20:54
