A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

It is. Notice how quickly the lefties want to change the subject when Europe is brought up?
They're malfunctioning.

Yep

True. Some of the stuff is what happened level. Ik the successful female leader rn is probably used to and strong enough to ignore all manner of verbal attacks. But sheesh what’s going on with those doing it (rhetorical).

KB is now being weaponised so it's actually inconsequential that she's female and black, when it's used for point scoring.

Do you know what - it was actually a desperate attempt to change the subject. That might sound odd, but it cemented my view that actually when she shouts about right wingers being terrible people, she’s talking about some kind of entrenched racism idea she has.

I don’t really know why she does it. She is a very shouty person.

But faced with somebody making a point related to the economy, she closed down completely. Went to go and sit with some others. I suspect she’s actually not trying to have a political conversation. I don’t know what she’s trying to do.

I have learned some more things about her and I do have a lot more sympathy than I did, but I really wish she would get out of that habit because it genuinely can spoil an evening. If she’s not shouting about that, she’s shouting about menopause or ADHD.

I’m not a fan of shouty people - can you tell? 😂

BTW, I haven’t noticed it being bat shit on here but I think I’m not seeing many political conversations atm so that’s probably why. However, I have noticed that common sense is bizarrely lacking in recent posts. Some of the suggestions people have made when they were trying to be helpful, while they may be well intentioned, they are bizarre.

Edited

Well whatever her issue is, she's a gobshite. Thats my official analysis. 😂

I've only read a couple of threads since I got home and wish I hadn't bothered. Don't waste your energy.

When Macron mopped his brow with a cologne scented kerchief declaring that raw footage of the riots across Europe were AI created, I was reminded of Marie Antoinette.

I resigned from HR last year but still follow what’s happening in this space. I’m so glad I got out then. People I follow have been inundated with requests for Trade Union access to employees, 15 days to respond, employee rights from day one, SSP from day one, rights for people who don’t even have a right to work. I’ve worked in big companies and small companies, all of this will cripple small businesses and cost big ones a lot. Most small ones will not be able to defend even the most farcical tribunals. It’s a sorry state that prevents this country from ever being able to stand on its own two feet!

Thanks for your insight. Its such a mess rn. I think the employment rights bill will go down in history as one of the worst.

Just saw the clip of the Labour women proudly stating that employers aren't workers. Just shows the types of idiots we have running the country.

Wasn't Starmer hung up on worker terminology, as well? The working man/woman etc. They are a different breed are Labour.

Yes!

I haven't been a 'working person' since 2024...apparently.

Yes their term is spent trying to hammer workers by getting out of who works.

Starmer was hung up on it because of his promise not to increase tax on ordinary working people. He then narrowed down the definition to ordinary people just being Bob in Wolverhampton. Everyone else is fair game.

After the expected horror shock budget last week I think the general sense I get from people I've spoken in professional sense is relief that it was essentially a do nothing budget. Hopefully we can continue to limp through to the next election with Healey taking a do no (more) harm approach.
