Is anyone planning on making these for their kid(s)?

If so, what are you putting in them?

Think is the Halloween theme of a Christmas Eve box?

ToKittyornottoKitty · 10/10/2026 18:51

No, kids don’t need this. I will do Halloween crafts with the youngest though (oldest not interested anymore) and help sort a Halloween costume. Nothing else is needed

FionnulaTheCooler · 10/10/2026 18:52

Nope. I've bought my DD some new Halloween pyjamas and some Halloween percy pigs but I just gave them to her, can't be bothered with the Instagram basket palaver.

onehundredthousandmiles · 10/10/2026 18:53

I think you’re asking the right audience here 😂.

For anyone wondering a “boo basket” is a basket full of Halloween treats … the Christmas or winter equivalent is a “brr basket”

somanychristmaslights · 10/10/2026 18:53

Why are you even asking. If you want to, then do it. If you don’t, then don’t.

Babayagahaha · 10/10/2026 18:56

More over consumption and waste, for what?

Have a pumpkin if you must.

MoominVallie · 10/10/2026 18:57

Categorically not

Did you not read the OP? The poster was clearly asking what other people are putting in them

AnewlifeintheCountry · 10/10/2026 18:59

🙄

KilkennyCats · 10/10/2026 19:01

Wtf??

Favouritefruits · 10/10/2026 19:04

A boo basket? Never heard of them, I assume like a Christmas Eve box? If it is then no, we don’t have money to waste and a waste of money it would be!

BansheeOfTheSouth · 10/10/2026 19:04

Why do you want to @PeasOff ? Whatever American social media you have watched to give you the idea, haven't they given you ideas to fill them?

SnapAndTap · 10/10/2026 19:25

How old are the kids?

DS did one for his gf (both 17) for 1 Oct.
A primark blanket, a pumpkin spice candle, a stuffed toy pumpkin, some autumnal art supplied, and a bag of pumpkin sweets, iirc

DinoLil · 10/10/2026 19:28

Ridiculous.

GlosGirl82 · 10/10/2026 19:31

This is insane - so American - this is just too much

Gassylady · 10/10/2026 19:34

Won't the kids be getting their own treats from trick or treating or games at a Halloween party? What sort of things would go in a box - more sweets etc?

I think so 😂

I've got DD some Halloween arts and crafts and stuck it in a trick or treat bucket that she'll be using. Did the same last year and she loved it!

Thought this board was for chat... maybe not 🤷🏼‍♀️ Don't need ideas thanks already grabbed the arts and crafts bits I wanted.

Can they not go out and get their own pillow cases full of Hallowe'en treats? That's what Hallowe'en is about, after all.

It's not one bit American.

I live here and I've never even come across the term.

American children go trick or treating for their own candy.
