Man has jumped into Tiger enclosure

At Yorkshire wildlife park.Anyone seen the video? I live local to it and the video of the man wagging his finger at it telling it no like a toddler is shocking.Hes lucky he wasnt killed.

Well I hope they didn’t shoot the tiger !

I’ve seen the footage, it’s shocking. Obviously a completely unhinged and reckless thing to do but i strongly suspect there are underlying issues - mental health or learning difficulties who knows. Nobody in their right mind is going to jump in there for a laugh and lots of the comments on social media are very unpleasant. Obviously hope the tiger is ok too.

I live about 45 minutes away from the park and visit quite regularly.

Apparently gunshots were heard so they probably shot the tiger. Tragic.

Its all over social media,Facebook especially.Im 10 mins away.

To be fair from the video I’ve just seen, it looks like he got off exceptionally lightly and I’m surprised an air ambulance was dispatched. It appears to lightly bite his back on the video but doesn’t look major, it then becomes timid when he shouts at it. Either way, I hope the tiger is ok.

The tiger is ok apparently. The shots were gas to get it away from the stupid man. Apparently both tigers are back in their enclosures

It’s funny how people are sympathetic about mental health issues until something like this happens. Obviously if he was messing about then he’s a dick but while the details are still so vague it’s in bad taste to slate someone who may have been suicidal imo.

I’m close to here as well. I must admit it’s crossed my mind d it would be possible to get in. I’ve never seen staff at that end of the park, occasionally at the snow leopards but never at the tigers.

Tarpaulin over the tiger enclosure (I assume over something in the enclosure). sounds like the tiger has been killed. Tragic.

Honestly I’d leave them to it. There’s more people in the world than tigers!

Thankfully the initial reports all seem to have been inflated... i intially read a zookeeper had been killed, ad well as the tiger.

The tiger that attacked at the South Lakes Zoo wasn't put down so I don't think this one will be.

Anyone who jumps into a tiger enclosure clearly has something going on with them. It’s not the behaviour of a rational person.

There seems to be a lot of conflicting rumours flying round. Som saying he is dead, some saying he is alive. Some saying the tiger is dead, others saying it’s alive.
All I know is there will be uproar if the animal has died as a consequence of an idiot climbing in to the enclosure. We frequently visit and certainly won’t again if the animals are punished
