How will they livestream this though? Couldn't whatever platform they want to use block it or remove the service?

I could watch it and not be damaged and I’m sure I’m not the only one. I’m not particularly in favour of the death penalty, or live streaming it, but I wouldn’t be affected by seeing someone who had done so much harm, killed. If I had to choose, I’d probably say just keep him in prison for the rest of his life but I don’t care enough about someone who has done what he has to really be bothered.

If you can watch a human being be shot and not be affected then you're already damaged.

Also, does it make it any worse really that it’s live streamed. I think the death penalty itself is the worst thing of the two. Is it any better that it’s hidden. Maybe actually seeing it will actually make some people think twice about thinking the death penalty is a good thing.

An innocent person being killed would affect me. This man, no.

It's still a human being. This is medieval and thinking that's ok indicates something seriously not ok with the psyche. At least in the middle ages they had the excuse of being mildly drunk all day.

I also saw Charlie Kirk get shot online, who was innocent, but imo did a lot of harm.

In my opinion, anyone who chooses to watch anything as grotesque as this must be deeply disturbed, and extremely damaged if the sight of it doesn't affect them.

What the fuck does this actually achieve? Words fail me as to why anyone would want to put this out for all to see. It's hideous and I feel sorry for the families of the victims, having something so awful that happened to their loved ones turned into this circus.

I heard this earlier and my first reaction was that the report must be a mistake. Sadly, it seems I was wrong.

I think it is grotesque. I hope the decision will be overturned by a court.

Sadly the way the USA is these days, Trump will do it anyway, he doesn't care about courts or the law, other than the want to sue everyone who doesn't agree with him.

In the first case, I only felt relief.

In the second, it was a shock to see him chatting one minute and dead the next. I thought it was sad for his family, and sad that someone would kills someone for having different opinions/politics, but I didn’t feel impacted personally no. I think he did a lot of harm with his views so although I think he should have been able to have them, I wouldn’t lose sleep over his death.

Thanks for your faux concern. 😂 My life is good. I feel sad when my loved ones are upset, ill or have died so have normal empathy levels. I don’t waste my time being upset over people dying/being killed who have done so much harm.

It’s not a problem to not feel upset that a man who killed multiple people is going to be killed. I think it would possibly be better if he was just put in prison for life as so many are against the death penalty, but it’s just not something I’d get upset about either way when he has done what he has.

Great, as though there aren’t already enough kids in that country who are inspired by other kids to go and shoot their peers and teachers, a live streamed execution will really do the trick to encourage any waverers. And it won’t just be live streamed , social media and the internet will have it available for all time. Whatever happened to life , liberty and the pursuit of happiness as the American dream?

I’d seek therapy if I WAS upset if a man that sexually abused children killed himself. There would be something wrong with me if I cared.

It's not a case of just not being "upset " by watching it, but the fact it wouldn't affect you, and you'd choose to watch it is very concerning and not a normal human response.
