Who has the most famous face? Voice? Is the most recognisable? Whether you like the person or not...

Probably Jesus Christ, although none of us know what he looked, nor sounded like.

MidnightPatrol · 27/09/2026 19:05

Queen Elizabeth II for those alive today?

So not in human history, only since photography and sound recording were invented.

In the whole of human history, Jesus or Mohammed.

Easily Jesus.

JustWalnut · 27/09/2026 19:07

Jesus, even though he's more of a character than a real person.

Well he is a real person. But it's whether or not you believe he was 'the son of God' or not.

He was definitely a real person - but you are right that he has taken on a larger than life character.

Western civilisation has been shaped by the New Testament so profoundly that we don't even notice most of it.

Would Jesus be known in Asia - in India and China?

SpottyAlpaca · 27/09/2026 19:13

Mao Zedong, sadly.

Butterbeanbutterbo · 27/09/2026 19:14

Depends where you are. Amitabh Bachhan, for example, is phenomenally famous but lots of people in the UK have never heard of him

By the educated class, absolutely.

metalstrawsarecoldbutnotsoggy · 27/09/2026 19:18

The late Queen, Mother Theresa, Winston Churchill??

Morgan Freemans voice I’d say is the most recognisable.

Face not sure! But I am bad at faces and better with names.

I suppose Jesus is pretty famous but not his face or voice.

Michael Jackson

No one ever compared to his levels of fame and celebrity.

TemporarilyCantDoMyself · 27/09/2026 19:25

Given the sizes population wise of China and India I think it could be the Buddha.

SpinelessBastardsAll · 27/09/2026 20:16

Elvis.

Kensingtonbuns · 27/09/2026 20:17

Jesus

If you want face and voice too, maybe Hitler.

PeppyMintCat · 27/09/2026 20:21

Hitler

Justaquestionplease · 27/09/2026 20:25

And the uneducated. Missionaries ensured that.

JeremiaBoogle · 27/09/2026 20:40

Currently you might say Donald Trump- especially if you're thinking known for face and voice. (Which rules out a lot of people )

Mostly widely known fanous - I agree Jesus. His position in Christianity is obvious, but he is also a prophet in Islam.

But I would also offer William Shakespeare as someone to consider for the position.

stargirl1701 · 27/09/2026 20:44

Genghis Kahn?
