I'm a grumpy old bat and if you really must know I use Android.

JadeSeahorse · 18/09/2026 11:44

I'm obviously a complete moron - but I am lovely 😁.

I am the very proud owner of a £120 Motorola. Had it 2 years now and absolutely love it. Can't do anything I want to do on an iPhone that I can't do on my lovely Motorola.❤️

IPhone given to me by work, Samsung for my own personal choice. Hate the iPhone with a passion. Particularly hate that there is no pull down menu from the top and you have to fiddle about with your nail to turn the sound off using a BUTTON at the side ! It feels very old fashioned to me. In addition, 9 out of 10 phones at work have cracked screens where people have dropped them. The screens seem very vulnerable.
However, its a free choice - get what you like best.

Exactly the same here. I only use my work phone when its my turn on the on call rota.

And then I have to make sure it's charged up because I can't work out how to turn it off so I just leave it to go flat.

My thoughts on phones are thus:

From the outside they all look the same and on the inside there's two types of operating system but they all do pretty much the same thing.

Therefore its easier to stick with what you know and there's no point paying a lot for them because they all do pretty much the same thing.

But, like cars, people who have expensive ones convince themselves that theirs is better than everyone else's, because it was more expensive, but in reality, they're all much of a muchness.

Android. iPhones are just a ripoff that people buy for status. Same shit just more expensive. IMHO.

What a silly, childish post

RaraRachael · 18/09/2026 12:16

Always had android- Samsung Galaxy has always worked fine for me. I'm not that interested in tech and don't use my phone for much so not interested in changing.

ItsAlwaysTwins · 18/09/2026 12:28

Lovely ladies? wtf 🤢

Apple.

Nutmuncher · 18/09/2026 12:37

RichardMarxisinnocent · 18/09/2026 10:18

Apple's marketing worked well on you then. Do you really think that brands like Sony, Samsung and Google phones are like supermarket own brands?

Yes I do 🫣

gullible marketing victim maybe but android just gives me poor and SIM card / top up vibes 😆

Purplecatshopaholic · 18/09/2026 12:42

I am a very lovely lady with an iPhone. Had androids for years but got an iPhone from my job at the time and have never looked back since.

Aposterhasnoname · 18/09/2026 12:44

Someone once referred to me as a lovely lady. Didn’t do it a second time.

And the problem with that is?

Android phones are available at all price points.

Deadringer · 18/09/2026 12:51

I am am old gimmer and have always had an android, i love my phone and use it all the time, even to read books but i don't have any interest in technology, as long as it has a decent size screen and works properly i am not fussed. My dc have a mix of iphones and android

No problem with it all, just not a vibe for me

😊

TishToshByGosh · 18/09/2026 13:12

Switched to Android about a year ago when my ancient iPhone conked out. I couldn't justify the high prices for another iPhone, even a used one was expensive.

I don't use my phone heavily - calls, texts, snapshots (I have a separate digital camera) and a bit of web browsing - so it seemed ridiculous to spend upwards of £500 on replacing with a newer iPhone.

I got a reasonably high quality Android phone that was a couple of years old for £150 and it seems to do everything I need.

Waitingfordoggo · 18/09/2026 13:13

I’m not a lovely lady, more of a grumpy woman, but I use an iPhone and always have. I wish I didn’t have to. Bastard smartphones and internet are the bane of my life.

MadellineBellPictureMeGoneNS · 18/09/2026 13:18

Android
And definitely not a lovely laydee .

wheresthesnowgone · 18/09/2026 13:19

Thank you for calling me a lovely lady. I like it
I'm an Android user, very happy with my Google pixel 9A.

RaraRachael · 18/09/2026 13:28

I'm not poor but choose to use an android because it does what I need.

What a bizarre comment.

When I see somebody using a phone, I've no idea if it's an android, i phone or something else.

HomelessAngua · 18/09/2026 13:30

Android, currently 2nd hand Samsung Flip. No iCult for me.

Have you seen the price of a new Google Pixel? You're giving me snotty, not very bright vibes 😆

🤣🤭 I would rather use a landline and telephone boxes than carry an Android, it’s a visceral feeling.

DebbieSavage · 18/09/2026 13:39

I have never had anything other than an iPhone since they came out my entire life. The last thing I want is for people to think that I have no money.

bakermummy21 · 18/09/2026 13:39

Iphone family here

I'm laughing at your ill judged goady posts.
