How do you know I’m lovely? Iphone

Astra53 · 18/09/2026 09:38

Committed Android person from day 1. iPhone and all things Apple are a mystery to me.

Netcurtainnelly · 18/09/2026 10:09

Android. Google Phone.

StormGazing · 18/09/2026 10:10

iPhone, I’m just used to them now after probably 15 plus years of using them. My DH has android and it annoys me lol

TheEasterBunny3 · 18/09/2026 10:13

I used to always have an iPhone. Now its Samsung. I much prefer the Samsung. iPhones are just way more expensive but for no better tech or phone.

I could never bring myself to have an android, in my mind they’re like a supermarket own brand if that makes any sense.

We're Apple everything.

Apple's marketing worked well on you then. Do you really think that brands like Sony, Samsung and Google phones are like supermarket own brands?

WearingBeautifulShoes · 18/09/2026 10:18

Android - one of the cheapest possible. Never contemplated an iPhone as just assume they are crazily expensive.

Android for me, Samsung.

All my female friends seem to have iPhone. It does seem to be the fashionable choice.

Android. I have actually never owned an Apple product in my life, they just never appealed to me. Everyone keeps talking about how user-friendly Apple is, but I just don't see it. Whenever I have been forced to use an Apple product (extremely rarely), I've found them super difficult to use. Not very intuitively designed.

And, their devices don't seem very flexible in terms of storage. Everything has to be stored in the cloud, you can't just do a simple file-transfer with a USB cable like you can with Android. With Android, I can store things on my actual phone, but I can ALSO choose to store in the cloud. IF I want to. I have a choice. I like that. I'll never switch over to Apple.

You're right - with this comment, you come off as tedious more than lovely.

For God's sake, OP clearly just wanted to be nice by addressing us all as lovely ladies. Only someone not lovely would put a negative, tedious spin on it.

IPhone given to me by work, Samsung for my own personal choice. Hate the iPhone with a passion. Particularly hate that there is no pull down menu from the top and you have to fiddle about with your nail to turn the sound off using a BUTTON at the side ! It feels very old fashioned to me. In addition, 9 out of 10 phones at work have cracked screens where people have dropped them. The screens seem very vulnerable.
However, its a free choice - get what you like best.

pointythings · 18/09/2026 10:24

Not a lady. Android all the way, I won't tolerate a brand that ties me to it, is overpriced and offers no flexibility.

Bunnyofhope · 18/09/2026 10:26

Google pixel, very happy with it.

daisyydaisyy · 18/09/2026 10:27

beaglescurleduplikebagels · 18/09/2026 10:27

I can’t answer this as I am not a lovely lady 🤮

There is a pull down menu. You have to drag from the top right corner.

Android. I've tried an iPhone but it's too restrictive and locked down for my tastes.

Sesma · 18/09/2026 10:30

iPhone, I'm Apple everything, DH is android (Samsung at the moment) and Microsoft so our tech paths rarely cross.

Edited to add, DH thinks mine takes better photos.

mondaytosunday · 18/09/2026 10:39

iPhone. Tried a Samsung for a bit but was so happy to go back to iPhone when my contract was over! Also my (adult) kids have iPhones so it’s easier.

BluebellBeth · 18/09/2026 10:40

I use a Samsung. I can't justify the cost of an iPhone.

Theolittle · 18/09/2026 10:43

My family all have iPhones handed down from me. I always buy reconditioned through envirophone. It does everything I want it to do so have never switched

RampantIvy · 18/09/2026 10:54

I subscribe to Which? and get email updates all the time from them. Today's update is about the lesser known brands that beat the big name brands.

If you want a smart watch, one from Huawei and two from Amazfit outperform Apple. Obviously, if you already own an iPhone then you need to stick with Apple.

For mobile phones the top scoring Samsung and Apple phones score the same marks, so one brand is not better than the other. It is just down to personal preference and the size of your wallet. Of the top 7 highest scoring phones 3 were Apple and 4 were Samsung.

RosesAndHellebores · 18/09/2026 11:00

I have an i-phone for work (work provides it)
Samsung for personal.use.

I prefer the Samsung.

SerendipityCat · 18/09/2026 11:05

Android here. Always a couple of years behind current models as I use my husband's hand-me-downs when he upgrades. Works for me, I don't ask much from a phone.

Bazinga007 · 18/09/2026 11:06

Android for me, I need a decent camera.

I've got an iPhone for work and I don't get the attraction.

angelopal · 18/09/2026 09:36

Android there is so.much more choice than with apple

Don’t want the choice. Just want the superb tech that I get with Apple. We have everything Apple. Even watches. Love them.
