I’ve just had a nose job in Turkey - AMA

Maybe no one will have anything to ask me 😂. But I’m flying back tomorrow having had a rhinoplasty in Turkey on Tuesday last week. I didn’t tell many people I was doing this, and anyone I did tell was absolutely horrified and said I was mad to do it. I wasn’t even sure right up until the last minute that I was going to come, I was very close to chickening out.

But it’s done, healing nicely and I’m so glad I did it. AMA.

Thanks all, I’m happy with it so far and the swelling will go down more. And most importantly I can breathe properly again. I’m in a group chat with others (all younger than me) who went to the same surgeon and asked for more of a sloped nose and that’s what they got - my nose now looks more like theirs did to begin with! I think maybe I should have asked for a tiny bit more shape but I can definitely live with it as it is, it’s so much better than before. I definitely won’t be heading back for revision surgery, that’s for sure.

Don't compare yourself to their before photos. Focus on your before photo instead. I think all the good work done on celebs looks like 'you, only better!' So many Hollywood actresses have had nose jobs but when you look its hard to really say if they did or didn't. Still looking like you is good!

Yep that’s what I decided to do and I’ve now left the group chat - there was a lot of moaning and negativity when their noses all look great now, there’s only so many times you can tell someone it takes a year to see the final result and just give it time! I think they’re generally chasing perfection and already talking about revision surgery, whereas I take the view that my nose wasn’t great before and it’s a lot better now, so I’m happy with that. Maybe that’s the difference between having a nose job when you’re young vs in middle age, my young and beautiful days are a distant memory and I’ve got fewer years to live with my new nose so it will be fine 😂.
