Dolly was fabulous - her songs are some of my favourite ever. She did so much for others. A true star.

I never heard a bad word said about her, and that's rare in showbiz and social media these days. What an amazing lady, so warm, so witty and so down to earth. She had some enhancements alright and she laughed about them herself, but she never lost her true self. RIP.

All that talent, humour and endless charity work quietly carried out for no want of publicity or reward.

The Imagination Library was something else. I used to work in literacy for mums and kids and it’s what everyone in the sector aspired to.

I'm absolutely gutted. I love her, and had just introduced my DD to her music.

I saw her in concert about 15 years ago, it was there that I fully appreciated for the first time what an absolute talent she was.

Miss Dolly, you were one in a million. There won't ever be your beauty, talent or kindness again. You came from nothing, not a penny and you were so inspiring to people. You are loved and adored by so many. You will be truly missed

Yes, she supprted vaccination and literacy. An intelligent, generous, talented woman. No privilege or wealth to start with, just determination, hard work and talent.
Plus a cup of ambition!

Very sad about her loss, she was a lovely singer and a lovely soul. She donated books to school kids every year in Scotland. She will be missed 💖
