Hamilton.

Not sure which of these are still in London and which are touring...

Book of Mormon - my OH is not a musical kind of guy but he loved this
Moulin Rouge - fun and a bit sexy
Hamilton - if he's interested in history
War Horse - Haven't ever heard a bad word said about it
The Car Man - a friend raves about it. It's on my to see list

Loved the 70s tv one...not sure play would do it justice it's a classic 'play for today' and not sure Tamasin O would fit the bill

I also hate hip hop and rapping yet somehow thought Hamilton was the best musical I've ever seen!

Play that goes wrong

My DH enjoyed both

MyCatsSlave · 22/08/2026 15:28

Hades Town was fantastic, I also love Hamilton and took a friend who doesn’t like hip hop and rapping but she loved it.

Sold out. Some tickets are available for upwards of £240.

Edit it's fabulous my daughter and her partner have been.

Love Operation Mincement, just seen it for the second time

MintChocCat · 22/08/2026 15:57

Beetlejuice. It’s hilarious!

GreenFootstool · 22/08/2026 15:57

Cabaret. Best production I've seen in decades.

Go early, have a few drinks as you go through the levels of the theatre before the show.

Amazing.

Operation Mincemeat is brilliant!

IThinkThereforeIPaint · 22/08/2026 16:07

Hadestown was brilliant, if you like Greek myths. Amazing music.
I found Book of Mormon quite boring.

TeaandHobnobs · 22/08/2026 16:10

I would never choose to listen to rap music, and probably not hip hop either - but I LOVED Hamilton. It is so clever and so well performed.
But I wouldn’t recommend trying to get a ticket in the next 2 weeks, as one of the original cast is currently in it (until early Sept) and tickets are very scarce and expensive.
