London what play or musical would you HIGHLY recommend for me and DH

Going to London with DH love musicals but fancy a play...hes not keen...what have you seen any recently and would highly recommend?

Or a musical see most any yoy'd recommend??

Cabaret

Les Mis, absolute classic.

Hadestown was a fab musical when we saw it in early May, but the lead performer had a disappointingly weak voice for the higher notes - which are absolutely crucial for that role because the whole musical is about him writing that music. So I can recommend the piece but not necessarily the current casting.

Six is good if you want something a bit different

Witness for the Prosecution - great evening.

If you are coming in the v near future how about a Prom - the Albert Hall is amazing.

"Arcadia" is one of my favourite plays ever, and I saw it when it first opened (in 1993!) but don't know this revival. It is very erudite!

As a PP said, The Play That Goes Wrong. Or if you can catch it before the run ends, The Comedy About Spies by the same company, Mischief Theatre. They are very funny.

I recently saw Beetlejuice, the Book of Mormon and Hadestown and they are all amazing

Operation Mincemeat. The only musical I have seen four times and would watch again.

Car man was so good we came straight out and booked Matthew Bourne Cinderella. Best thing I've seen in forever.

I want to see Oliver as have never seen a professional production and love the songs.
I’ve heard The Car Man is fabulous

Operation Mincemeat is great.
We saw Cyrano de Bergerac and loved it but it’s not a musical.

I second Arcadia, I saw it earlier in the year at the Old Vic. Absolutely brilliant play and a great cast. One of my lasting regrets is that I didn't see the original production at the National in the 90s

Cyrano fe Bergerac is very good, but not sure how much longer it'll be on. Adrian Lester is fantastic.

Totoro is charming. War Horse is unimpeachable. You will cry great messy tears and snot (if you’re anything like me).

Think I am the only person who hated Hamilton.

Loved Paddington and Operation Mincemeat.

Toying with seeing the Stephen Mangan play.

I think Hamilton is the best musical I’ve ever seen (and I’ve seen a lot!)
