Im sure they'll be lots of judgement on here as always but here we go

I really wish I hadn't married my 1st husband. He was a loser and still is.
I find 99% of kids so dull

I wish I'd been sluttier when I was young..

Confession, I agree. I don't particularly like men these days but I do like looking at them nude if they're pretty.
Slutty enough?

Im terrified of cancer

Approximately one in two people born in the UK since 1960 will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.

Snap.

That I'm fucking ecstatic that after 8 long years my daughter's dropped the transman persona. No more James, no more compression vests.

I bought her new underwear and I could do a dance around the house.
The pain and heartbreak has been hell.

You poor thing. Thank fuck she's come out the other side. It's an absolute epidemic but I think the madness may be tailing off now.

I find being around elderly people excruciating. After spending time with ILs or my elderly parent I feel so drained. I also dread seeing them, I have to build the energy up beforehand. I feel so guilty about it, I know one day that will be me etc etc.

Me too...I've just started being part of a tag team of caring neighbours for a wonderful 93 year old. Cared for mum and aunt f/t...hated it. Can't believe I've drawn myself in again. Dread it.

I wish my son didn’t need glasses

(no hate to glasses, I want him to be able to see, he’s gorgeous either way but I do prefer his face without them)

PollysKenwood · Yesterday 19:05

That MN threads do my head in whwre the posters have more expectations of their mother in terms of grand parenting than they do of their father when the whole backstory screams that their father was so absent during children combined their own sexism means he is judged less harshly. if my DDs came at me with that ai’d be asking them what they thought they were playing at.

That children with step parents should be put on a safe guarding register with their school and multiple partner changes should be flagged as a welfare concern.

So many shit parents out there putting their kids at risk and making their lives a misery because 'they have a right to be happy". Selfish behaviour that creates generational misery.

And yes, we see the effects in the school playground. Fed up of seeing poor miserable faces because mum's new boyfriend shouted at them or dad's new girlfriend was bitching about mummy.

You're screwing your kids lives up.

I wish this had been the case when I was a kid. Hard agree.

When I ride my bicycle, I like to pretend I’m riding a horse. I have a whole cross country course on my commute to work with different speed bumps as jumps and sometimes I score myself for the approach. As I run through the Greenwich Foot Tunnel pushing the bicycle, I’m competing in the in-hand section of the gaited pony show.

It passes the time.

OchreSnake · Yesterday 19:09

I know it's terrible, but I play 'spot the ugly' when I am travelling about. I study people surreptitiously to understand why they are so unpleasant to look at. It may be the shape of their nose, or their horrid small or too-bulgy eyes. It could be a jowly face or lips too small/big. Sometimes it's just the whole face. I've never told anyone else I do this....😆but the 'good genes' pool is spread very thin.

emuloc · Yesterday 19:09

That I was a couple of stones heavier. I am too thin, and struggle to maintain the weight that I am. It is a pain.

AberforthDumbledoresGoat · Yesterday 19:09

I chose to lose my virginity to the guy I knew a very popular girl in my class liked, and who was technically off-limits even though they weren't dating, because I knew even though he'd tell all his friends about it that he would also defend me from anyone who slut-shamed me. It was a tactical choice that I do not regret one bit given the sort of boy I associated with when I was 16 and how cruel teenagers can be.

25th centile

If he’s still young, means nothing unless you consider 5’8 too short. My eldest was on the 25th for height and dropped off the bottom for weight. Caught up!

I am about four years in and still waiting, I desperately want that day to come.

The daft thing is that she wears very feminine clothes, hair etc. But insists on "he/him" etc. She is a very intelligent person but never really felt like she fitted in (Autistic) and decided that the whole gender fluid bollocks "explained" it. She didnt fit in as a girl so she must be a boy...... she is 22 and like I say, I am hoping that day will come for me too.

I feel similarly. I have a very elderly friend- she was my mum’s friend. Lovely lady but is getting so old and it’s very hard to have a conversation with her as she’s so hard of hearing and cognition is getting worse. I always try to take DH or one of the DCs with me when I visit as it takes the intensity out of it.

I feel exactly the same other than the ones who remain vibrant and interesting.
It's such a drain and leaves me exhausted .
I really hope i end up in the vibrant category 😄or at least have the self awareness to not turn into a miserable deaf old bore !
I absolutely do not want my kids to visit me out of duty and leave feeling relief that that's over.

I ran away from a man that truly loved me and then had children with a man, who didn’t love me and I didn’t love him (deep down). Unravelling it all now, but spent years of my precious youth and energy trying to make it work) and feel so full of regret and remorse.
