Im sure they'll be lots of judgement on here as always but here we go

I really wish I hadn't married my 1st husband. He was a loser and still is.
I find 99% of kids so dull

That Glaswegians are not actually that friendly. The ‘banter’ is just a persona that they love about themselves - see tartan army etc.
Generally very very parochial too.

I hate having house guests. We bought the biggest house we could afford so we'd have a spare room, and DW loves it when her family come to stay, but I don't sleep well and wish we didn't have the space (as we didn't for the first 10 years of our marriage!).

That I wish I wasnt currently on holiday with Morrissey on downers.....sorry I mean my 15 year old DD.

Normally we go with my sister but she couldnt come this year. Dsis is great with DD and as DD loves her she will do stuff that she will never do with just me. Dsis is "fun aunt" I am "embarrassing mother" so I get the 'Whatever' and this slow blinking thing that she does to indicate her being sick of my presence, its so fucking rude and disrespectful but there isnt really anyway of reprimanding a teen for blinking at me! Its hard to describe but in Raiders of the Lost Ark, a young woman in Indy's class blinks slowly at him and has "Love You" written on her eye lids. DD would have "Fuck You" written on hers.

I wish we had stayed at home and I had spent the money on practically anything else.

I really suffer with birthday blues, it’s not about aging, that’s a privilege denied to many, and I am grateful to age, but I absolutely HATE my birthday.

I’ve never liked being the centre of attention so I used to hate people singing Happy Birthday to me when I was a child!! Thankfully, no one does it now.

Sorry but the way you write is hilarious. She doesn’t deserve you. But good source material for more of your writing please?

I think most people are stupid.

I say that out loud all the time. Stupid people think I am joking and everyone else agrees!

That I'm gender critical. I have trans relatives and I would be shunned.

My fanfiction reading choices

That I don't have any work scheduled but stuck my kids in holiday club anyway so I can spend a day reading the above.

That I find ways to hide money from DH so I can do what I want with it. (He's not controlling but runs most of our finances and would disapprove that I'm wasting money on frivolous things/junk food when he's trying to scrape money together to pay off the mortgage sooner)

That I mildly fancy my daughter's friends Dad and imagined us getting together if DH and I split. (He single).

That I'm horrifically sad about my son being disabled despite him being a lovely lovely child and I have trouble interacting with him because it upsets me and all I can think about it having to care for him as an adult for the rest of my life.

I could go on.

I seem to have developed a very strong penchant for those masked men/bikers that keep appearing on my TikTok feed 😳 DP can often hear the music and asks why I keep watching the same vid over and over again....😬

TheAmusedQuail · Yesterday 18:36

I think most men, genetically, are inferior to women. Not all. Some blokes are our equals, but 80-85%.

Same as I think the majority of white people are racist to some degree. Lower % than inferior men, but probably 50-60% of white people = racist.

Despite having been married myself, I think marriage is akin to legal prostitution. A bit less so these days when women aren't specifically marrying for security.

Being a SAHM is a stupid choice, given that most men can't be relied upon. Bad, bad choice.

I have a LOT more offensive opinions but these are my immediate thoughts.

I find being around elderly people excruciating. After spending time with ILs or my elderly parent I feel so drained. I also dread seeing them, I have to build the energy up beforehand. I feel so guilty about it, I know one day that will be me etc etc.

Oh god I feel like this too. To the extent I’m already planning how I can set myself up in old age (if I make it that far) so my kids don’t feel like they have to look after me/visit me/ feel guilty etc.

Thank you!

Normally we rub along well, but holidays just the two of us clearly are not something we can do! I was getting desperate earlier and said "Oh look there is a band on at that pub, lets go and listen for a bit" (eye roll). I got her her drink (suggested she try a mocktail, eye roll, whatever...... got her a lemonade) and me a large wine. Was told I am drinking too much, I admit I did sigh and got told off for being passive aggressive.....the irony is still making me smile. Oh and I bought three cans of G&T on the way back to the apartment!

I'm going to start TTC very soon after convincing my baby obsessed family that we're waiting a few more years. They will be so excited

That I long to go back 12 years. Parents were well, DC had no serious, incurable illness. Looking back, my life had no real stresses at all, I just didn't realise it. Worry is such a heavy burden.

I wish I had never come into existence. (No I’m not depressed, ND or perimenopausal.)

Me too! The main reason I didn’t breed, I didn’t consent to being born so would never inflict it on another person. Also not depressed, ND, peri, etc. I do have pleasures in life & love some people dearly so would never harm
myself as it would upset them, I just wish I hadn’t been born.

That I wish I never had kids. I absolutely gave everything to them - far more than I should have done. They are adults and are really quite shitty to me. Im quite ashamed of how thoughtless and unkind they are. My nieces, and stepchildren treat me way better. They all forgot my birthday, and when I told them I was upset they just dont care.

I secretly wish sometimes that I never had them, but also that I was less of a 'good' mother - and just was a bit more selfish - because where did it get me?

Im having a hard few days tbh. I know this feeling will pass. But yeh, i cant admit this feeling out loud.

Perhaps you could "forget" their birthdays? Or send a "Sorry I forgot your birthday" card?

Purplelightening · Yesterday 18:41

I hate my stepson, he's the most annoying kid ever.

If I won the lottery or Omaze I would break up with my partner and keep it all to myself.

If my friends died, I dont think I would be that sad.

When I ride my bicycle, I like to pretend I’m riding a horse. I have a whole cross country course on my commute to work with different speed bumps as jumps and sometimes I score myself for the approach. As I run through the Greenwich Foot Tunnel pushing the bicycle, I’m competing in the in-hand section of the gaited pony show.

It passes the time.

Edited

This is the kind of thing I used to do before I had to stop riding my bike .
I talked to it too , to encourage it past scary things like bin bags and crisp packets .
( I rode horses many many years ago too so I know what spooks them )

I think I just need to say this somewhere, because sometimes being one of life’s “copers” can be a very lonely place.
My husband is disabled and relies on me for an awful lot. I love him, but if I’m honest, it can be incredibly tedious and exhausting. He has the radio or TV on 24/7, and I long for absolute silence. I can probably count on one hand the number of times I’ve actually been in the house completely on my own, with nobody needing anything from me and just enjoyed the silence.
I’m also one of those people who generally copes, gets on with things and doesn’t make a fuss. The downside is that nobody really asks how I am. And the truth is, there really isn’t anyone to ask. Over the years, the few friends I had have drifted away, and I’ve ended up with a very small life.
Voluntary work did give me something that was mine. It gave me a sense of purpose and, more importantly, an identity outside of being a wife and carer. Recently that came to an abrupt end — cancelled with a bunch of petrol station flowers and a card, because apparently the new person wanted to bring in her own people.
I know there are people much worse off than me, and I know I should probably count my blessings. But sometimes that doesn't stop you feeling lonely.
It’s a sad and lonely life sometimes, and I think today I’m just feeling the weight of it all.
I don’t particularly need anyone to fix it. I think I just needed somewhere to say it out loud.

That sounds tough. Everyone deserves some peace and quiet every now and again FFS. Have you considered switching off the power for a while and pretending there's been a power cut 😉

That I'm a Zionist. Although I've been getting braver about saying that these days, as a lot of the omnicausers have got bored and actually a lot of people are Zionists. I think that the watermelon brigade are the ones who should be embarrased, not us.

Same.
I find kids quite dull too and I’m a teacher. I’m a good one though.
I’m also watering a tree in my garden so it doesn’t die.

I could have written that!

I was a teacher - and a good one - honestly. But I don't love children as a species. Some I like, and some I don't - just as I would with adults. They are individuals. I have a particular aversion to little girls in KS2...I'm shuddering just thinking about them. They are desperate to be teenagers and their aping of teenage fashion/interests/activities strikes me as very, very irritating. There are always exceptions - some girls don't follow the crowd.

Yes - I'm watering a tree in my garden too. I've seen so many dead and dying ones on my travels this week and we can't afford to lose trees. I'd rather have a 'wartime bath' and use the water someone might have in a 15 minute shower to keep it alive.

I am ready for the flaming but here goes:

I have no time for people who have mental health issues who don't at least try and help themselves and take some personal responsibility for their health.

Eg. Someone is very anxious and can't cope. They are professionally advised to get more sleep than the current 5 hours a night they get and get outside more/get off their devices. They ignore this advice and instead prefer to take medication. They don't magically feel better and can't understand it.

I have trouble sympathising because they could help themselves feel better in a way say a type 1 diabetic will never be able to because no amount of possitive attitude is going to regrow beta cells.

Pisses me right off and yes, I am thinking of someone I know.
