Im sure they'll be lots of judgement on here as always but here we go

I really wish I hadn't married my 1st husband. He was a loser and still is.
I find 99% of kids so dull

Various traumas from my childhood and being a full time carer for my chronically ill DH have left me with a raging binge eating disorder.

I know it isn't healthy and on the outside I might seem okay- I'm an average weight and I eat healthy when I'm not in a binge.

But I am so bloody tired from everything I can't muster up the energy to take steps to recover.

That I have a secret sister 😢

I would love to say the second one but other family members dont want the secret to get out. I HATE not being able to gave her in my life to keep others happy 😕

I don't; it was a pp.

Oh, apologies!

The quality of my entertainment.
I like to pretend it's all award winning novels and tv shows when really I'm watching bad AI dramas on Tiktok and reading smut!😂

I have liver disease. It is NOT alcohol related it is NASH, you can look it up if you want. I told no one apart from one or two when diagnosed and they immediately presumed I was a secret alcoholic. I don't and never did drink alcohol!, and I certainly can't now anyway to prevent further damage. I feel fine and it is well controlled but still, it is a serious liver disease.

I made all kinds reasons for feeling unwell at times, blocked bile duct, gall bladder you name it. I just could not bear the judgment and presumption that all liver related issues are alcohol or drug related. That's the reality of people's assumptions out there folks. It has a terrible stigma. I don't think there is any other illness out there with the same stigma, but maybe there is.

So I carry on dealing with it all by myself. That's what I won't tell anyone.

Edited

I’m sorry you have liver disease.
also obesity is a disease and that carries a huge amount of stigma

I love ds a teeny bit more than dd. Always have. Never breathed it to a soul.

My mum's the same. She also thinks I don't know. Of course I know. So does my brother.

Im not happy, never have been and I don't really know how to be.

I feel exactly the same. Always in pursuit of happiness in one way or another but never find it.

I really suffer with birthday blues, it’s not about aging, that’s a privilege denied to many, and I am grateful to age, but I absolutely HATE my birthday.

So absolutely the same . Hate the faff and false ' celebration' that goes with them

I feel exactly the same. Always in pursuit of happiness in one way or another but never find it.

Also in the never happy club. I have my moments, but overall I wouldn’t say I’m happy even though my life isn’t that bad.

It’s annoying really, like I’m always looking at things negatively but to me I’m just being realistic.

CoralGraceRow · Yesterday 01:06

That I really dislike my life. I don’t even know what it is about it but if I could rewind and start again I’d make so many different choices.

Bowies · Yesterday 01:06

Long hair on adults (beyond shoulder length) gives me the ick - even in photos, but especially if it touches me (swishing it about in public).

Also that I wonder how many other people secretly feel this way, possibly evidenced by the number of negative comments about the Princess of Wales with longer hair.

That I sometimes long to have something like a mild stroke or heart attack just to get the chance to rest properly . I work full time, regularly babysit my young grandchildren and have a very lazy husband who has never contributed to household chores.I feel like I will never get the opportunity just to rest, be looked after by someone for a little while and think about myself just for once.

Couldn’t you just go on holiday on your own for a while. Somewhere that’s catered or where you’re cosseted. It would do you the world of good.. I take myself off for a few days regularly and I come back so refreshed.

I fantasise about my father dying in a car/plane crash quite a lot, where he's the only person that dies.

Why?

blueshoes · Yesterday 01:34

It is not a secret at home but I cannot tell anyone at work that I plan to retire not too soon in the future, ahahahahahha. In the meantime, I prepare yearly strategy, upskill the team, streamline our processes, explore the use of AI, prepare for the next offsite, present to senior management, like I was a committed employee and manager. What I am really doing is implementing a succession plan for my departure.

😁

Focussingonme · Yesterday 01:35

I fantasise about my alcoholic husband dying. I love him deeply but he is ruining my life, and my kids life with his depression, PTSD and alcoholism. All untreated and ignored and I am left to pick up the pieces. Everyone thinks he's the life and soul, but the illnesses make him a selfish arsehole who drops the act as soon as he gets home. I can't leave him, not ready for that yet, so instead I hope he dies peacefully so I can bow out gracefully and without destroying everyone's lives and being blamed for splitting the family and causing him to spiral. I'd then live out my life alone, caring for my kids and my home, my cat and my job would be enough for me. I'm not interested in anyone else, I just want some peace and an end to this merry go round.

I also wish my arsehole of a father would die soon too. Similar reasons and it would solve a lot of problems for my wider family.

I wish I could relate to my AuDHD daughter better, I try so hard but I don't understand why she can't just get on with it sometimes. I'm burnt out and shout more than I should.

Trans is bullshit.

I'm so scared of getting seriously ill and my kids being left with my husband without me to monitor and supervise that I spend money I don't really have on mounjaro and a gym membership to be healthier, while emotionally eating my feelings.

I thought I'd have my life together in my 40's, be a proper adult. I'm less certain about life now that I was at 20 and 30 and it is seriously scary. People think I've got everything sorted but everything is a mess.

Just wondering how you do this, there's a barcode on bags ? I might give it a try.

I think society is absolutely fucked.

Globalisation and the rich vs poor divide, AI, climate change, the explosion in terrible mental and physical health, terrorism, right wing media influence, resource shortages.

I think there's a real reckoning coming. I probably won't live to see it and maybe my kids (in their 20s) might be ok, but I think my yet-to-be-born grandkids will be living in a very different world and not in a good way.

But not everyone graduates from university so it is an achievement? That level of graduation and above are really the only ones that are an achievement in the UK. It's slightly different in other countries regarding high school graduation, but graduating from nursery?

It's cute, but ridiculous!

I suppose I think that given that you started university, you're pretty likely to finish it. So I just find it kinda silly. I suppose not everyone in the country finishes, but that's mostly because a lot of people don't start.

When I ride my bicycle, I like to pretend I’m riding a horse. I have a whole cross country course on my commute to work with different speed bumps as jumps and sometimes I score myself for the approach. As I run through the Greenwich Foot Tunnel pushing the bicycle, I’m competing in the in-hand section of the gaited pony show.

It passes the time.

Go for it! Live your best life!

The joy of living alone is that I can vent my anger about life at the walls. Loudly!

The've never retaliated. Which would suggest I'm still relatively sane. 🤪

Omg I used to do this all the time as a kid and had forgotten until I read this. I'm going to resurrect it on my next bike ride 😁

That I had a sexual relationship with my best friend (also a girl) at school. Not because I’m embarrassed - although it took me until my 30s to realise I’m bi, duh! But because it’s not only my story to tell and we still share a lot of mutual friends.

Ditto. Never told anyone except my husband.

IWasTangoed · Yesterday 03:00

I struggle to believe we have one life and that most people (including me) spend it in such a mundane way. I will die at some point and I spent most of my time working, stressing over the cost of living crisis and having quite boring conversations. I can't seem to live another life as the demands of needing to pay bills, school runs etc are always there. I feel like doing a runner (with dc) and leaving it all behind.

I'm seething at people in my life with mental health issues that refuse proper treatment. They are selfish and should be forced to get help, not expect others to carry every single burden (emotional, financial etc).

I pretend to be a dog person so people won't judge me, but to be honest, I'm a bit afraid of dogs and definitely don't want them near me when I'm in a shop or cafe or even close to me when I'm in a park. I feel bad.

Getting married is a big regret of my life.

Having a child is THE big regret of my life.

Everyone says it gets better but he’s four now and I still hate basically every single day of motherhood. Even when it’s good, it’s not as good as feeling free.

Your poor child. My heart goes out to him. I hope you still manage to provide a pretence of love, and care for him well.
