Im sure they'll be lots of judgement on here as always but here we go

I really wish I hadn't married my 1st husband. He was a loser and still is.
I find 99% of kids so dull

That I’m disappointed that I’ve not got the relationship I’d hoped either my adult children. We’re not estranged but I feel we don’t have a great connection either. It makes me very sad 😞

I’m sorry to hear this, do you have any sense of why this has happened? Is it physical distance? Difference in personality? Anything else?

Sometimes I wonder whether I would be homosexual if that was the norm when I was growing up.

I found a Dorito in my knickers once and I don’t even eat Doritos.

kimf1963 · 11/08/2026 21:38

That I hate to see babies and toddlers with pierced ears, I think it looks so chavvy. Just as bad are the stupid big bows on headbands that mums put on newborns

I agree with this and I'll go one further. I think people who are properly religious in the age of reason often have some sort of arrested development or emotional issues.

This might sound really harsh but all the serious Christians I've ever known well (or at least those in affluent western environments) have been serious control freaks: people who have an absurd need to control their environment in some way and can't function when things don't go exactly to timetable, to the point of public meltdown.

It's probably slightly different if you live in an environment where there is high child mortality or where people are very poorly educated but I think believing in this sort of gobbledygook when you are a degree educated scientist or a senior manager is a sign of something having gone quite wrong somewhere.

This is very true of the devout Christians I know - they are anxious control freaks.

I often wonder how anyone can believe in such nonsense.

Pushingback · 11/08/2026 21:39

I regret having dogs, but I love them so much.

I think my Mother and my sisters are terrible parents. (I’m not perfect by any means). But they are, in my view, abusive.

That often I find my job, colleagues and work utterly tiresome.

That I had an abortion and never got over it.

That I wish I'd found a financially stable man with good prospects when I was young, so I wouldn't be the sole earner and solo parent for decades.

That’s I’m not actually ‘happy for them but sad for myself’ when people announce pregnancies. I’m not happy for them at all even though I know how awful that is.

Most people who are TTC or can’t conceive feel this way, it’s just that nobody is admitting it. I remember the feeling well when I was having trouble.

I would quite happily chuck 70% of what's in the house. I could cry when people who love me insist on buying me things I have to find room for in the house. I declutter and then it gets full of stuff again. It's so depressing.

Same. I just had to resist the urge to throw all the kids toys away again. All the tiny fiddly shitty bits of nothing they collect make me really miserable.

EndlessSeaViews · 11/08/2026 21:44

That I am very jealous of my best friend for being so damn rich whilst barely working because is an only child of a millionaire father.

twilightermummy · 11/08/2026 21:44

My dog makes me feel sick. She's nearly 10 now. I do sort of love her, I guess, probably as she's a part of the family but, if I could choose again, I'd definitely not have bought her. She always makes me feel guilty too, just looking at her. She's well looked after and the kids adore her before anybody starts..she just does some disgusting things. Raids the bin, eats off the sides, still poos 5 times a day and they're never clean ones. Eurgh, it's all just gross to be dealing with.

I also think my stepdad is a predator but I've shared that with my sister.

I regret having more than one child. I love my children fiercely and they're my life, but oh, to be free. Instead I'm stuck in a constant state of overwhelm whilst everyone depends upon me.

I have a secret male friend. We’ve known each other for 11 years and can go a couple of years without seeing each other or can meet up twice in a month. The reason no-one knows he is my friend…his wife is extremely abusive, coercive and financially controlling, she has cut him off from his family and friends so he is completely isolated. He goes to work and goes home to do everything (she doesn’t work and has a disability which is why she says she cannot do anything in the house). I’ve literally never seen someone speak to a person the way she speaks to him or send the messages she does (voice ones I can hear). When we meet it has to be an activity that is free or he pays in cash because she goes through all their accounts and demands explanations. She used to openly embarrass him in front of joint friends (now he doesn’t go out that can’t happen anymore). It is heartbreaking. He never talks about it and is never negative about her. If she found out about the friendship I would genuinely be worried about his safety, so I tell no one. I don’t think he will ever leave but I think everyone deserves one friend in this world who you can message after months of not talking and know they are willing to go on a walk with a cup of coffee.

I actually feel a bit better for saying this out loud.

Who told you this? I would love to correct your ignorance

Maybe start a separate thread as this is where people are allowed to write what they feel withOUT criticism. You keep attacking people and this is not the thread for that. Start your own.

But can probably guess at a few of them.

  • Most male pikeys are thieving and/or violent, self-serving scumbags, by and large.
  • People who do absolutely nothing to improve their lifestyle-induced health (physical and mental) outcomes are selfish bastards costing the public purse millions.
  • I have a friend I wish I'd never met because she's exhausting to have to talk to. I can never just have a quick coffee with her, she talks for hours and hours about people I've never met and don't know and I'm desperately trying to extricate myself from the friendship.
  • Drag performers are misogynists taking the piss out of women and I truly don't understand why so many women enjoy it.
  • Being 'trans' is attention-seeking bullshit.

I married better the first time. That’s hard to forgive myself for.

I don't know where you are in the UK, but where I am it rained non-fucking stop from September until about March this year and my area still has a hosepipe ban, so where is all that water?!

I recall saying during the seemingly non-stop rain 'We'll be asking where all this has gone when there's a hosepipe ban in a few months time'.

They will just be unreconstructed, outright racism. Or antisemitism. Or eugenics. Rightly deleted.

Nevs · 11/08/2026 21:52

I am a bit of a snob. I find loud chavvy people rather irritating.

AbsoluteTool · 11/08/2026 21:53

I was widowed young, mid 30s, he was the absolute love of my life and my son’s hero.
The hatred, the bitterness and unfairness of it all has never ever left me, over 25 years on. His death ruined my boys life, no question - and to watch him grieve and suffer all his adult life has been agony.
I would quite happily live just with my dogs and no other human til I die. I have no tests for any illnesses, cancers or such, I’m not interested. It is written in my GP notes. I will go when my time is due, no treatment. Effectively, I died when my DH died. These last 26 years has been an existence, nothing more.
Society doesn’t allow me to say this out loud.

Emeraldforest · 11/08/2026 21:53

This is a bad one.
I've been widowed a VERY long time.
DH was a lovely man in many respects. Well loved. Loved the children and myself but totally neglectful and unreliable. He was an alcoholic and rarely came home after work, always in the pub. Hurts me to say even after all this time but I lost all love and respect for him.
He died after quite a short but very devastating illness, which was a terrible time. I felt guilty and wished I'd been more loving and supportive I suppose. But I was so angry with him.
Life was hard but honestly, my family's life has been better since...see I can't really even type it.

Getting married is a big regret of my life.

Having a child is THE big regret of my life.

Everyone says it gets better but he’s four now and I still hate basically every single day of motherhood. Even when it’s good, it’s not as good as feeling free.

I didn't like being a mother to young children. I was bored and hated any sort of mums and kids gathering. It got better when they became more independent. I was never fond of babies and children so I can't remember why I decided to have them!

Ladyingreggs · 11/08/2026 21:54

I burn incense cones to hide the smell of weed smoke from my 29 year old son.
