What wouldn't you admit out loud ?

Im sure they'll be lots of judgement on here as always but here we go

I really wish I hadn't married my 1st husband. He was a loser and still is.
I find 99% of kids so dull

I fecking hate other humans. I don’t want to be near them I don’t want to talk to them I just want to be alone. But apparently this is weird so I just pretend.

I guess a few things I wouldn't say out loud

that I think most conversations are so dull and boring. humans, we really aren't that interesting. we are all basically the same.

I wish I had not married either husband they were both losers in their own way. maybe that makes me a loser too.. I don't know what I thought marriage was.. it just seemed to be endless servitude to different people to the husband to the children in-laws whatever

It would have been nice to have been in love with someone who loved me just a little bit more than I loved them but that never happened because I loved them more than they loved me

I think it's the same with friends that I liked them more than they liked me and sometimes I didn't find that out until decades later

For once I wish somebody would treat me to something. like plan a surprise for me. take me out to dinner plan a holiday something I would actually like and they paid for it.. I've never really had that. I've always been the giver and other people have been the receiver or taker

All of this 🥺

W3e · 11/08/2026 20:34

I'm married with 5 kids and I watch 'POV single woman with no friends and lives alone' tiktok videos.

SpunkyKoala · 11/08/2026 20:36

I think kids have better outcomes when mum stays at home

BalloonSlayer · 11/08/2026 20:36

I sometimes pretend I have Charles Dickens as a passenger in my car (I chose him as he liked speed - ie trains that could do 35mph, which scared a lot of people - and was keen on new inventions, i think he would have liked cars). I imagine telling him all about the car and how it works, and how to drive it. I imagine the article he would write about this wonderful new contraption, driven by a woman! Not wearing a bonnet! And wearing trousers!

Sometimes I give a lift to Henry VIII. I reckon he would have liked cars too. But he is not allowed to order my execution.

I regret buying my ex out of this house when he buggered off with the OW. I wish I had let him have it because I hate the locals, they are appalling grabby, skanks but my ND neighbour is the worst. If I could get away with it, I would strap on my steel toe cap boots and I would go around there and kick him until he was dead but he's not worth it.

He has spent the last twenty years trying to make my life difficult. I never rise to it because it would give him pleasure so I just let it all wash over me and pretend I don't notice. He then escalates and I just laugh but I can't live like this forever. I will sell to Hells Angels if I can.

Jesus Christ 😂

For my money, Islam is just 900 years or so behind Christianity in terms of 'KILL THE HERETICS! THEY MUST SUBMIT!'.

Who told you this? I would love to correct your ignorance

Do you think you could do it elsewhere? You're derailing enough as it is and you've made at least one abusive post. Perhaps an AMA thread?

SpunkyKoala · 11/08/2026 20:38

I hate how many kids are impacted by having shit parents - seriously there should be some sort of rules and testing before you can have kids.

When I hear a big belted out ballad on the radio I pretend I'm singing it at a karaoke and the whole pub goes silent to admire my brilliant voice.

This actually made me chuckle!

That I’m disappointed that I’ve not got the relationship I’d hoped either my adult children. We’re not estranged but I feel we don’t have a great connection either. It makes me very sad 😞

I truly can't believe this post. My husband died four years ago, and I miss him every day. No amount of freedom makes up for his loss.
I hope you never say that out loud, especially to a widow.

That is the point of the thread, no? Things you'd never say out loud.
You can keep your judgement thanks, you've no idea what my life has been like for the last 2 decades. I feel how I feel and I was clear that I love him and will miss him terribly. I can feel more than one thing at once and it doesn't have to make sense to anyone but me.
I'm sorry for your loss.

When I ride my bicycle, I like to pretend I’m riding a horse. I have a whole cross country course on my commute to work with different speed bumps as jumps and sometimes I score myself for the approach. As I run through the Greenwich Foot Tunnel pushing the bicycle, I’m competing in the in-hand section of the gaited pony show.

It passes the time.

I absolutely love this post!

Me too! It always felt like drudgery and people are so envious I feel guilty. There was a reason I stopped being a SAHM and those long summers take me back there. BUT I'm guessing yours are young and something amazing happened this Summer. My now teens don't rise til mid morning and I come and go as I please. I have been for bike rides, gone to the city for coffee and a browse, had my nails done, met friends for lunch near their work place and basically done whatever I want for the past few weeks. It's absolutely nothing like it was a few years ago. I feel very lucky now having made it through those years

Yes! I always felt guilty as a sahm even though I was by no means a lady of leisure like people seemed to imagine, by the end really needed to get back out there. That’s great you’re having a lovely summer! Mine are getting older, but not quite at that stage yours are just yet. I’ll be there in a couple of years. Maybe that’s what I’m missing, most of the people I work with either don’t have children or have teens/adult children so have more freedom. I do just really enjoy my job too, so kind of miss it when I’m off for such a long time.

Marrying for love is stupid and will find you divorced and raising your kids alone and poor; much better to marry for money.

NC4023 · 11/08/2026 19:30

Are both your families and friends OK with that? No criticism from me - I think it's brilliant!

I think the point is that she hasn't told them? 'What would you never say out loud......'

Pessismistic · 11/08/2026 20:44

How I’m sometimes treated poorly at home verbally and wish I could escape somewhere with a space just for me. I’m so low I don’t know what to do I feel if I go the dr they would be rushing me to spit it out I’m scared because I don’t know what to do I have so much going on in my head I feel like screaming or crying but nothing comes out.

SpunkyKoala · 11/08/2026 20:45

Maybe global warming is what’s meant to happen as an evolutionary stage of the planet and is inevitable. The fact that we are here is completely irrelevant.

From what I recall, they're all some variant of "fuck off" "u cunt" and "well ur a poohead". I'm pretty sure we're not missing anything.

I agree. Again, I think I come too close to admitting this out loud on MN where lots of the blended family threads really upset me in the way children are expected to quietly weather so much.

And I know there are other shit parents too, but the issues tend to bubble to the surface less often on here.
