Im sure they'll be lots of judgement on here as always but here we go

I really wish I hadn't married my 1st husband. He was a loser and still is.
I find 99% of kids so dull

If he’s still young, means nothing unless you consider 5’8 too short. My eldest was on the 25th for height and dropped off the bottom for weight. Caught up!

What height is he now ?

Everyone says that out loud! Are you in a social group that praises him? 😂😊

I wasn't saying that as something that I wouldn't say out loud, I was just adding to a comment about him.

When im walking by myself and its late or quiet I do a little internal monologue like i have been murdered amd crimewatch are broadcasting my story. 'Angrybird was last seen coming out of the co op with a family bag of wotsits and 4 doughnuts. Its not known is she was meeting anyone, but the crisps have never been recovered. Don't have nightmares.

@Angrybird76 I do this too sometimes! But as.a police report not crimewatch. And mine features DH saying in a very puzzled voice to the police "I have no idea why there's a bar of Tony's Chocolony on the receipt because it's not on the bag of shopping you found and she never eats it at home...."

britespark1 · 11/08/2026 19:56

That I have my autism assessment on Friday. DH knows but I cannot talk to any of my family e.g. DM, DBs etc as due to lots of neurodivergence and disabilities amongst relatives it would just cause such a fuss.

Newyearawaits · 11/08/2026 19:57

I developed feelings for a married man that I was working with, got involved intimately without full sex.
That is so against what I believe to be morally right and I still feel uncomfortable about it years later.
I have regretted having my son, he has cost me enormously (I am not referring to financial cost) and has had several episodes in prison.
I have honestly thought that I was going mad.
I pray to my higher power for peace.
All beyond the realms of the human race

I can’t STAND my SIL’s dogs. I see them more than I’d like as SIL lives with the PIL’s. But God they are the loudest, whining wee bastards I’ve ever met. Jumping up at me when I arrive. Scrabbling all over me when I sit down. Barking at every shadow or movement. It is hell on earth being anywhere near them. I fully appreciate that this is not the dogs’ fault and that they should be trained. But the worst part is having to plaster a smile on and pretend I’m ok with it all because they already think I’m a weirdo for waiting until they calm down to pet them. Apparently I should pet them to get them to shut up help them calm down. But my ears are ringing and my nervous system is overloaded.

Aaaah, that’s better😆

parallol · 11/08/2026 19:57

I have liver disease. It is NOT alcohol related it is NASH, you can look it up if you want. I told no one apart from one or two when diagnosed and they immediately presumed I was a secret alcoholic. I don't and never did drink alcohol!, and I certainly can't now anyway to prevent further damage. I feel fine and it is well controlled but still, it is a serious liver disease.

I made all kinds reasons for feeling unwell at times, blocked bile duct, gall bladder you name it. I just could not bear the judgment and presumption that all liver related issues are alcohol or drug related. That's the reality of people's assumptions out there folks. It has a terrible stigma. I don't think there is any other illness out there with the same stigma, but maybe there is.

So I carry on dealing with it all by myself. That's what I won't tell anyone.

Yous are so funny. I pretend I'm driving a bus and dropping people off at various stops 😂😂😂 sometimes, it's a flying car, like in Back to the Future.

I sometimes pretend I am young, famous and very beautiful and on a red carpet hand in hand with my rock star boyfriend. Brightens up a trip round Asda!

I agree. I'm a widow and the loss is truly unbearable. I would give up every bit of my freedom to have my husband back.

But surely you know that everyone's relationship is different? That poster obviously didn't have the kind of loving relationship that you had so obviously wouldn't feel like you.

My mother died and its a relief in many ways. I fully understand that other people mums die and it breaks their heart..
That's because their mother wasn't like my mother.

Ihateboris · 11/08/2026 19:59

I'm planning on ending it all in a few years as I have no pension provision and can't bear the thought of just existing on the state pension.

That sounds dire. I hate over indulgent dog owners who think that their wee darlings are adorable. They're not, they're fucking gross. And on that note, can we please have just a FEW dog UNfriendly shops, cafes, and pubs!? (Obviously not talking about service dogs) I don't dislike dogs, but sometimes it is nice to be able to browse in a shop without one coming up and trying to hump me from behind!

I would press the nuke button 💯 (I'd say that bit out loud, but not the part about which country / countries I would target first. It ain't who you think.)

RJMacReady · 11/08/2026 20:02

That I have a very large collection of explicit "romance" books on my kindle and I'm not reading them for the plot 😏

I don’t work in the summer holidays, most people in my line of work spend months counting down to the time off, but I’m the opposite. It’s very convenient for not having to worry about summer childcare though. I feel weird for feeling so meh about them as it’s such a ‘perk’ of the job that everyone else looks forward to, so just quietly go along with them.

There are good moments but I feel like it’s a bit of a slog overall and I’d rather get back to my normal routine. I was a sahm for a few years and by the end was sick of it and felt trapped, so maybe it’s because it reminds me of that time.

Nothing wrong with an adult taking charge of their life (and death). But... It is a shame that we have to factor money in to whether or not we want to exist.. can you make a list on how to get a better income? Invest (so make an appointment with a financial advisor), speak to friends / family.. if you don't do anything at all to fix it, then consider if you're actually depressed or suffering from something else, rather than it just being about money.

ThatCyanCat · 11/08/2026 20:05

A lot of women say they're staying for the children when they're actually staying for the security/status of being married.

I am actually not sure I could never ever have an affair under any circumstances. I love my husband and value my family far too much to cheat, but if my husband were actually the kind of dick I read about so often on here, and my family life didn't feel happy and secure, I can't be certain I'd never do anything wrong or selfish if I thought it might make me feel better, even if I know I should end it first.

Thank you @2ndNatureTime This is a brilliant thread. There are some very sad posts but also some very funny ones.

That ive had the same ongoing daydream in my head since I was 15. I add to it with new songs / events / ideas almost continuously. I absolutely love the characters and play scenes over and over in my head.

Oh go on, you can't leave us hanging! Also, there is no country which I can't imagine someone wanting to nuke!

I’m so sorry for your losses. However the point of the thread is precisely to say things they wouldn’t say out loud, so I don’t think it’s fair to shame PP for meeting the brief.

Thank you but it's a bit late to change my financial position..I'm mid 50s, rent privately, manual low skilled job,no potential inheritance etc. The one saving grace is that I have no children. I'm strangely at peace with the decision I've made.

What is it? I might borrow it.
