People who in your head are the same person (when they are not)

Actors, sports people, celebrities who you get muddled up or just can't differentiate between.

Prompted because I have just 3 minutes ago realised the the actors Katherine Parkinson and Kerry Godliman are not the same person.

Also, Suranne Jones and Keeley Hawes.

Neither of those pairs look even slightly alike.

They are alike! Both gorgeous as well. And they both look a bit like Antonio Banderas.

I get Plemons and Damon (Plemons looks like a cross between the late, great Philip Seymour Hoffman and Matt Damon) but DiCaprio? He doesn't look even a little bit like Matt Damon. They are a similar height and are both blonde, and that's where the resemblance begins and ends. This thread is telling me that a lot of people must have face blindness.

Pooky Quensell and Sarah Parrish look quite similar imo, although not so much that I would mistake one for the other.

They aren't even the same race!!

Gerard butler and Russell Crowe, Katie Perry and Dooey Deschanel and Katie Perry, Woody Harrelson and Matthew Conaughey (though they might be related) and I used to think Helen Hunt looked like Jodie Foster.

Oh and Robert De Niro with Al Pacino for some reason.

The Ryans. No idea which is which. I have to be told "Barbie Ryan" or "Deadpool Ryan". It's actually possible I've got that wrong & those two are the same one!

I got Katie Price and Katie Perry confused for a long time. I could never work out how one woman managed to be in relationships with such diverse men (Peter Andre and Justin Trudeau!) and do so many things things.

Craig Kelly, Marc Warren, John Simm (I actually didn't realise there was three of them until | just checked)

Maybe with these (and some of the others on here) it’s not looks so much as the kind of roles they play or their perceived attributes/personalities.
i can see the confusion with these ones; Emily B and Claire F (to my mind) often play quite ‘British’ stereotyped characters, and are sort of thoughtful and intellectual.
Sam N and KC play/played a fair number of rugged types.

I do know what you mean about these two. Dark eyes, thick dark hair, quite a soft voice and mild manner (BW more than RA, but I think RA is also non-threatening in a similar way).

Barry off Eastenders and Sean Williamson

I do get that they have a not dissimilar demeanour, but I can't imagine actually confusing them.

I confuse Bill Paxton and Bill Pullman. They don't look especially alike, but the names are ridiculously similar so I can never remember which of them was in what film.

It's not purely about looks as if you looked at the two Ryans next to each other, or Kerry Godliman and Katherine Parkinson, you could quite clearly see you are looking at two different people. But it's more that they are not quite notable/famous enough to have made a solid impression on you and there are other people who appear in similar things.

Olivia Colman and Anna Maxwell Martin played the same character in Heartstopper so clearly a casting agent thought they were similar too.
