People who in your head are the same person (when they are not)

Actors, sports people, celebrities who you get muddled up or just can't differentiate between.

Prompted because I have just 3 minutes ago realised the the actors Katherine Parkinson and Kerry Godliman are not the same person.

Also, Suranne Jones and Keeley Hawes.

All the British actors called Tom H... (Holland, Hiddleston, Hardy) - I can never remember which is which.

DD is familiar with John Bishop, primarily from Doctor Who and a few comedy bits.

She's also seen a few Hugh Grant films.

We came out of the Dungeons and Dragons film a couple of years ago and she says "It's weird, he can only really do two accents can't he?"

I look at her confused, because frankly I've never hear Hugh Grant do any accent other than "Posh boy".

She explains that he's always either really posh or really northern, at which point I have to explain to my 16 year old child that Hugh Grant and John Bishop are not in fact the same person.

Timothy Olyphant and Josh Duhamel are almost identical

As are Javier Bardem and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (although they are now a bit different with age!)

That picture of JDM really makes me realise how well cast he was as Dean's father in Supernatural! (although he wasn't actually old enough to be his father...)

Nick Cave and Nicholas Cage - genuinely thought some people were just saying it differently! Still don't know which is which.

Bob Dylan and Dylan Thomas, always have to pause to remember which one is the singer.

And Hollander!

Griff Rhys Jones and Hugh Laurie

I worked with someone who was a big fan of David Suchet’s Poirot, and was amazed that he had a side gig reading the news.
And even more amazed when she discovered that the newsreader was his brother John.

Chris pine and Chris helmsworth, I used to mix up Cameron Diaz and Gweneth Paltrow (how?!) I am the same with both the Ryan’s and also Ryan Reynolds and John Krasinski

Oh and also Brad Garrett (Robbie in everybody loves Raymond) and Bobby Canavale (his ex wife’s new husband in Antmsn)

I always get John Michie (from Taggart) and Dougray Scott mixed up.
It doesn't help that they're both Scottish too....

Various Baldwin brothers with each other. Various Russell’s (Brand, Howard, Harty, etc - I appreciate they resemble each other in no way, lol). Laurence Fishburne and Samuel L Jackson - love both too. I am sure there will be more as I get older..

Margot Robbie and the one from ready or not

I also worked alongside but not directly two fellas who had the same first name, and surnames Johnson and Johnston respectively. They both wore caps and grey joggers.

I was convinced they were the same person using an alias until the Christmas party when both submitted meal requests and I raised concerns that this lad was trying to get two meals.

Jessica Chastain and Bryce Dallas Howard.

Oh and Kiernan Shipka and McKenna Grace

William Beck and Robert Webb.

I don’t watch Casualty but any time I randomly caught a glimpse of Beck playing Dylan I assumed it was Webb.

They do look alike.

I watched the barbie film and was really surprised to see the actor from severance in it. I told my friend and she said they are two completely different people. Not in my eyes they aren’t.

I've been watching the Five Star Weekend and thought the main character was played by Natalie Portman, it wasn't until I googled to see where I'd seen the blonde actress before that I realised it's actually Jennifer Garner. I also thought Glenn Close played Miranda in the Devil Wears Prada until the sequel came out and all the promotional stuff was clearly Meryl Streep instead.

Glenn Close and Meryl Streep do look alike , they seem to play similar characters.

Sally Lindsay and Jo Joyner. Totally interchangeable in my head, so I was very confused when they both appeared in Mount Pleasant at the same time.
