United 24 Media:
❗️Over the past week, the Russian Federation has launched approximately 2,100 drones, 1,700 guided aerial bombs, and 78 missiles of various types at Ukraine — President Zelenskyy.
“Last night and this morning, strikes targeted energy infrastructure, Ukrzaliznytsia, businesses, and ordinary residential buildings. Odesa was attacked with missiles and drones. Restoration work is underway in many western regions following the overnight strikes. In particular, all necessary services are operating near the Ukrainian-Polish border in the Volyn region, where the Russians deliberately set fire to a train locomotive and damaged a gas station in a drone strike,” he wrote.
💊 For two consecutive days, the occupiers have been striking Universal Logistic, one of the largest pharmaceutical warehouses in Ukraine.
Universal Logistic is one of Ukraine’s two largest pharmaceutical warehouses. The other is Biocon, which the Russians previously attacked on September 3. The warehouse covers an area of 21,000 square meters.
The facility serves major pharmaceutical distributors, which subsequently supply products to pharmacies.
It is worth noting that such attacks constitute yet another war crime, as they endanger the most vulnerable segments of the civilian population.
🇺🇸 Trump blamed Zelenskyy for the diesel shortage
The US President stated that disruptions in diesel supplies in Russia are allegedly linked to Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil infrastructure.
“Zelenskyy needs to do one thing. He must stop knocking out diesel fuel in Russia. He is causing a diesel shortage,” Trump stated.
The American president also dismissed suggestions that the global diesel shortage might have been caused by the war in the Middle East.
🔷 A German military startup wants to enlist European car factories for the mass production of military robots in preparation for a potential war with Russia, the Financial Times reports.
ARX Robotics believes that instead of building new defense plants, Europe could repurpose existing automotive production lines to manufacture unmanned ground platforms.
ARX itself plans to increase its capacity eightfold, to 8,000 robots per year. Hundreds of its “Gereon” vehicles are already being used in Ukraine for cargo transport and casualty evacuation. The startup is collaborating with Deutz and Schaeffler and is in talks with Bosch.
🤬 Russia attacked the search-and-rescue tug Sapphir in the Odesa region — Ministry of Restoration.
The vessel bore clear markings in accordance with international maritime convention requirements. Preliminary reports indicate that there were no casualties.
🔶 Aviation destroyed a logistics hub and a UAV laboratory in the Belgorod region.
Intelligence revealed that the command of the 128th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade (44th Army Corps) had set up a logistics hub and a laboratory for assembling and configuring drones, including “Molniya” models, in one of the workshops at the “Shebekinsky Karton” plant in Shebekino.
A strike using guided aerial bombs confirmed the deaths of two UAV test engineers and resulted in the destruction of a large quantity of valuable and expensive equipment stored at the facility.
🇫🇷 France Accelerates Development of New Rafale Standard
Amid the cancellation of the FCAS new fighter jet program, France is accelerating the development of the new Rafale F5 standard. The French defense procurement agency has commissioned research on the project from Dassault, Thales, Safran, and MBDA simultaneously.
The work covers key aircraft components, including navigation systems, data links, the RBE2-XG gallium nitride (GaN) radar, electronic warfare systems, and engines. The Rafale F5 is scheduled to enter service with the French Air Force and Navy by 2033.
While the work was originally slated to begin later, the controversy surrounding the FCAS program and Germany’s withdrawal from it have significantly increased the need to modernize the existing fleet.
🇪🇪 Russia has brought its terror to the EU’s doorstep and poses a threat to all of Europe — Estonian Foreign Ministry
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna made this statement following a Russian attack on a train near the Polish border. According to him, members of his team had crossed the border at Yahodyn shortly before the strike.
Tsahkna emphasized that the Russian threat does not stop at the EU border and called for increased military support for Ukraine, specifically for its air defense systems, as well as tougher sanctions against Russia.
“Helping Ukraine defend itself is neither charity nor someone else’s war. It is an investment in the security of all of Europe,” Margus Tsahkna concluded.
🔷 Poland will not block the opening of negotiation clusters in Ukraine’s EU accession process, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said during a joint press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha in Kyiv.
Sikorski noted that negotiations on Ukraine’s EU accession would not be easy, just as they had not been easy for Poland in the past.
“However, Poland will not block the opening of negotiation clusters. This does not mean they will be closed quickly, but in the European Commission’s view, Ukraine is already ready for negotiations.
We also hope that Ukraine will complete the implementation of the Association Agreement, particularly the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area agreement. You could be part of the Single Market even before joining the EU,” Sikorski said.
🗳 The State Duma elections will be rigged, yet the results will still reveal the level of discontent with Putin and the war, says Mark Galeotti, a columnist for The Sunday Times.
United Russia is virtually guaranteed to secure a majority, while the genuine anti-war opposition has effectively been barred from the elections. However, Galeotti believes that the scale of the fraud and the gap between the actual and announced vote counts will themselves serve as key indicators of the Russian public’s mood. Regarding the 2024 presidential election, researchers estimated that at least 22 million of the 75 million votes cast for Putin were falsified.
Regional data will be particularly revealing. Historically, Moscow and St. Petersburg were centers of opposition sentiment, while the provinces were considered the Kremlin’s stronghold. Now, however, smaller towns and regions have borne the brunt of the war’s consequences, including mobilization, casualties, and Ukrainian strikes. This means the Kremlin risks seeing a drop in support in areas where it once felt most secure.
The elections will also serve as a litmus test for attitudes toward the war itself. According to recent polls, over 60% of Russians favor the start of peace negotiations, even as the Kremlin attempts to get dozens of war veterans elected to the Duma. Galeotti notes a growing consensus within the Russian elite that the war needs to be brought to an end by 2027.
Consequently, the true results, even if known only to the Kremlin, could influence Putin’s future decisions: whether to seek a way to end the war or to proceed with a new wave of mobilization and further militarization of the economy.
