I don't have strong opinions one way or another about three squat loos being provided as part of general renovation of loo facilities, tbh.

I have seen posts on MN complaining about seats being broken in some public loos because people squat on them. So in light of that might be a good idea? If the three squat toilets had cost £1 million as claimed, then I might feel more negatively!

Squatting to poo is apparently better for you, but my knees wouldn't take it plus I am clumsy.🤣

The police raided both a Turkish barbers and a vape shop and maybe the kebab shop, all in one street in a little town near me. They found 11 illegally workers and some dodgy gear. I suspect that illegals were let go and are now working in another shop nearby. Happening soon in a town near you….

They'd welcome you in Gronant just now 13 out of 15 new builds for the immigrants. I hope no-one bought the other two before this happened.

i’d say it’s effectively removed three of those toilets for use by the public.

We've a big new development in the works in Conwy and a very big one in Wrexham. I said to DH last night that I wouldn't even look at a new build estate now in case the builder entered into a lease agreement with Clear springs for a tranche of them to be used this way. Our police have had issues with estates like this in the past so they won't be thrilled. They're not city police and rural police have to cover huge areas in Wales.

I've never yet seen a squat toilet anywhere in the world that wasn't utterly rank - and yes that includes France.

At least it is a reversible situation if they aren't used.

My God the country is in very serious trouble, hence why the right need to come together in the spirit that brought everybody together in the 2nd World War. The present situation and future is so dire, the fact that there are so many differences between us are insignificant with the current problems. The reality though is I don't even think neither Reform or the Conservative Party are actually right wing parties. The placing of anything this side of 'Plaid Cyrmu' as Right leaning is a continuation of the Woke and uncontested progressive march towards complete socialism. Mrs Thatcher one of her last Prime Minister Question times on November 22 1990 nailed how Socialists think with they would rather everyone be poorer than richer ! This can be characterised by suggesting that if we had 10 levels that socialists want people on level 6 be brought down to level 3 rather than lift someone on level 3-4. The reason being someone on level 6 might go on to level 7 . Hence the description that they would rather the poor stay poor and dependent on the state than advance financially

I know lots of working class people who are millionaires now thanks to an increase in house prices and inheritances. I think it’s a good thing, why shouldn’t they have some money ? After all, the Queen didn’t pay taxes for many years. The establishment look after themselves don’t they !

Well I don't think public money should be used to install squat toilets in England in 2026. That's my opinion. They are vile and unnecessary. I'm sure Farage is thrilled though. Every little helps.

Same. I've had to use them in different countries, most recently in Morocco. As soon as you go out of the wealthy bits, its all squat toilets. I was there to climb a mountain so I was out in the sticks.
They are disgusting. Never seen one that didn't have someone else's shit on the floor. The grips make we want to. 🤮🤮

There is nobody the Labour Party hate more than Working Class people who have become millionaires and have children educated in Private or Grammar Schools ! This is the greatest insult to the Labour Party you could give. Which in itself is odd because this was the aim of Bevan and Atlee but not the goal of the current largely 'middle' class academics who inhibit the soul of the Labour Party

Nope, anyone who pulls themselves up a bit are hated even though they will never be mega rich, but just comfortable. Not me, but I don’t envy those who have done from humble beginnings.

This video exposes Burnham for everything he is a Con Man with made up ideals that suit the way his career has gone. Watching this video Burnham might have ended up as 'Richard Hammond' on Top Gear not as the 'Socialist' Prime Minister of the UK !
