Thanks @JewelleryCat & @martha79

danglethedingle · 03/08/2026 17:14

@TodayIsabetterone that's brilliant news, cardiac things are so scary, the heart being somewhat crucial to the plot! Have fun planning the cruise too, what a lovely thing to research.

Look at this lovely moth that was in my garden this morning.

I saw one of those today too. ..it flew onto the coffee machine at the pub we went to at lunchtime ๐Ÿ˜

Jersey Tiger moths ( says Google) . Handsome beasties!

TodayIsabetterone · 03/08/2026 19:50

Thanks @danglethedingle we actually talked to the bookings team on board and got details of which cruises had adapted cabins etc but would be nice to have that to look forward to ๐Ÿ˜Š

Haven't caught up yet...brain was not braining enough when I got back from today's activities..I had to doze for a couple of hours.

I was unsure about what to do today. Felt awful when I woke up but just went out super early before the heat and crowds. We got to a beautiful beach and had a lovely pub lunch which..for once....did not give me heart palpitations! Was back at the cottage by 2.30pm. That is definitely the way for me. Out early.. back early. Lots of proper rest.

Hope you are all ok. @TodayIsabetterone that sounds exciting!

Yes! Excellent news re my latest scan for cardiac issues and measurements are stable! ๐Ÿ‘ They'll repeat in 2 years. Iโ€™m feeling incredibly relieved. The registrar I saw in June really had me worried with some of his observations so this really is good news. I can put surgery out of my head for another few years at least. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Brilliant!

CoffeeBeansGalore · 04/08/2026 06:35

Morning all.
Dull, grey & wet. Lots of rain forecast today. Ddogs will not be happy.

martha79 · 04/08/2026 07:27

Morning, same here, it's warm, grey and damp. Actually have to leave the house for a meeting today but other than that it's a pretty normal work day. Hoping the blackout blinds I ordered might arrive and they'll help a bit with the early morning waking-up ๐Ÿ˜ด

Oioiqueen · 04/08/2026 07:32

Please have a rain dance today and send it to the central parts please. I'm done with the yellow thing in the sky now. Give me blankets, hot chocolate and dark evenings I'm so ready for it.

Although I may be cursing if it gets too cold as my neuropathy is no fun.

FuzzyPuffling · 04/08/2026 07:57

About two drops of rain overnight here (SW England) Desperate for a decent dollop of rain. Even the cats look disappointed..

JewelleryCat · 04/08/2026 08:52

Letโ€™s move to where @CoffeeBeansGalore lives lol. Dull, grey and wet sounds fabulous right now. Is it also chilly too? If it is, blanket weather!

TodayIsabetterone · 04/08/2026 08:55

Morning all, feels a tad cooler today ( 23) thank goodness, sunny but a breeze so Iโ€™ll take that. Heat combined with overdoing it yesterday meant I was exhausted last night. So a quiet day needed today.

Sounds like a good day @MewithME and a good plan to be active early and then resting in the afternoons. Just like they do in Spain with a siesta in the afternoon! ๐Ÿ˜Š I find that suits me too!

Have a good as can be day everyone

It's a rest day for me today...well, as much as I can with a 15 year old pottering around. He's already bored which is a worry ๐Ÿ™ˆ

He's not usually bored so not sure why he's declared it today.

My friend is coming to visit so we'll have a pub lunch (again) at the pub down the road which will be nice. DS will have a huge steak I think..he's at that growing stage of being ravenous I think ๐Ÿ˜

Get your shoes on, I've started the minibus up. Who else is coming rain searching to CoffeeBeansGalore part of the country?

Oioiqueen · 04/08/2026 11:28

Cooler here today but still feels quite muggy. Due rain later whether it reaches us in the middle who knows. The sky is quite dark so fingers crossed it's coming. Back to the hospital today after three weeks off to continue my treatment. It's now changed from IV to subcutaneous injection so fingers crossed all goes OK. When I started my old treatment pharmacy muffed it up and it was delayed by a week. Until they are physically doing it today I just won't believe it's happening. One positive about moving over is now I go from every week for three weeks to just once every three weeks which is great for the school holidays and needing childcare. Hoping it helps with the side effects in time the chemo brain fog is biting my ass still at the moment.

Count me in for a trip to see rain! Iโ€™ve forgotten what it looks like. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

TodayIsabetterone · 04/08/2026 11:48

Hope the injection goes smoothly today @Oioiqueen and helps with chemo side effects. Great that it will fit in better with the kids over the school holidays. How are you managing energy wise with having the kids home? Hope youโ€™ve got some support. I remember school holidays when mine were young just about finishing me off by Sept even though I was lucky to have some family support and used the odd holiday club. The juggling isnโ€™t easy though!

Good luck @ValleyClouds hope you get some answers ๐Ÿคž

martha79 · 04/08/2026 12:39

Good luck @ValleyClouds

Made it into town for my meeting - taxi there and tram back. The travelling and actual meeting were fine, the sitting in a busy cafe on an uncomfy chair not so much. But I suppose good to do something like that where you have a defined time limit.

Spending lunchtime lying down with a very purry cat at my side.

CoffeeBeansGalore · 04/08/2026 13:58

@ValleyClouds good luck!
@Oioiqueen sounds like that will work better for you time wise.

Bit humid here but not hot. I'll get the kettle on!

TeaAndStrumpets · 04/08/2026 14:46

@ValleyClouds Fingers crossed for you today!

@CoffeeBeansGalore glad the kettle is on! Sounds like you'll have a house full. Oh for a bit of rain, our garden is just parched.

@Oioiqueen hope they are looking after you at the hospital.
