. Reform are still leading the polls . Even with the Saviour's bounce.

Reform were leading the polls a great deal more before Burnham was elected - and yet they lost every parliamentary seat they stood in because of tactical voting. Reform has maxxed out its demographic - there aren't that many bigots in the UK after all. The majority of Brits are decent and don't want the likes of Reform running the place.

And look at how many councillors Reform has lost since the locals - that edifice will fall apart too. And it's 3 years to the next GE...

How is that relevant? The point is that, in my and other's experience, the FCA absolutely do need reforming. Of course I doubt Farage's plans would be those required.

How is it relevant? It's relevant because no quango is competent, per your post about the FCA. I didn't think it required explanation.

I am so excited that Count Binface could be the hero of the hour - such a British response to pushing back Farage love it. It’s like a Richard Curtis film

Wouldn’t it be hilarious if Count Binface and Farage were the only candidates standing!

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · Today 19:33

Anyone in Clacton who would normally vote for an established party needs to vote Binface. It would be a scream.

Teanbiscuits33 · Today 19:43

He’s going hard MAGA - esque on Facebook playing victim with post after post about his family and how much he’s been attacked and threatened. The man is an absolute joke and makes a complete mockery of our country. Can’t believe what I’m seeing.

Loubissou · Today 19:59

I hope there will be a more sensible independent anti corruption candidate step forward. I am old enough to remember Tatton. Binface is all good for laughs and japes but we need a serious option.

They will win Claiton…easily…

All main parties have confirmed they will not be standing.

Back-fired Nige! 😂

All he has done is postpone the investigation which will now take place if he is reelected. I am guessing he has been advised that the Select Committe will find against him and that this stunt is his only viable option (or clearing off to the States of course). He can whip the faithful up into a "poor Nigel, the outsider, the only one who can save us from the elite" and all the other nonsense he comes out with and the hard of thinking may return him to the HoC. But does he really want to be there? He certainly shows his face as little as possible, his voting record is abysmal, he has not held one single surgery despite having all those millions to spend on his security. Only in it for the money and the contacts

Obviously the committee will find against him. There no reform members and it a kangeroo court.

Don't forget when Starmer was referred to the standards committee he just got his MPs to vote against even investigating him.

It is not a bastion of justice.

Starner declared his goodies. Has your friend Nigel done that (yet)?

And if you think he doesn't have to, then logically Starmer didn't have to either.

TopPocketFind · Today 20:35

If Farage has done nothing wrong, then the Standard Commission is just a formality. He should just co-operate and get on with his job(s)

The king didn't resign as Mayor Manchester - he hedged his bets. I he hadn't of won Simons would have popped up as an advisor in Manchester. It was a safe bet for a low grade MP.

Who is telling you to use the word king all the time? It's always fascinating to know where the hard right get their buzzwords from. Maybe GB news? Or social media?
