I've been really looking forward to this but it's giving me such anxiety now. I spent a lot of money so don't want to just not go and forfeit the money. Would they cancel it? It can't be safe to have thousands of people there in such intense heat?

👋 to everyone who was there last night, I went with my adult DS and it was AMAZING. It wasn’t as hot as today though. It did take ages to get out and we had to take tubes and the bus home as we missed the last train but SO worth it, I’m still buzzing today!

@shinnyit took absolutely forever. Didn't get to Stratford until about 11.30pm. Suspect to some degree it depends where you're sitting, but you'll need to leave before the end to make that train.

I’m really worried about this, I’m going into London alone after it, do you think I will make it before 11:30om from standing?

Stratford international or Stratford do you need?

What side of the stadium are your seats on?

No seats, standing GA - I’m looking for either the jubilee line or the Elizabeth line

I dont know what GA means. If you only need the tube I think you'll be fine. Its overground trains that are a nuisance they seem to stop quite early

WhispersFromFairyland · 26/06/2026 19:11

@TomClarkson The last Elizabeth line train is around midnight, and the Jubilee line runs a night service, so you’ll be fine to get into central London.

fernnn · 26/06/2026 23:42

GA = general admission

Well it was a bit sweaty tonight but absolutely fantastic. The trains were generally well behaved as well!

Gabbycat245 · 27/06/2026 00:36

Glad you had a good time, @Chucklebunnie!

CatGirl1 · 27/06/2026 01:06

I’ve just got back from it too. Absolutely brilliant! Stayed until the end so took ages with the crowds to get back to Stratford station but well worth it.

SeasideDaisy · 27/06/2026 01:28

I’m just back aswell, a sweaty mess but wow, a brilliant night.. I love that Mark sung Babe, I felt like a 12 year old.
We got the DLR back to Greenwich in pretty good time.

WhitegreeNcandle · 27/06/2026 07:45

Utterly fabulous fabulous night. Although I think I was the hottest and sweatiest I’ve ever been. The sound the crown made when Gary took his jacket off! They worked their socks off last night

SweetBaklava · 27/06/2026 09:30

God it was fantastic - DD’s first TT gig and she loved it. They really know how to put on a show don’t they. We were on the pitch - not gonna lie, it was torture in the heat for most of it but then there was a miraculous shower of rain in the middle of Gary’s piano snippets and 25,000 menopausal women cheered 🤣

SweetBaklava · 27/06/2026 09:32

The quickest route out to avoid the stop/go kettling (which was VERY badly managed as usual) if you’re going to the station and have pitch tickets is to exit to the right of the stage.

Sallycinnamum · 27/06/2026 11:21

We survived too! One of the best concerts I've been to in a long time but the heat was torture- i think I've lost half a stone in sweat!

We were out and on the Lizzie line in 30 minutes which was better than Wembley where it took us 2hrs to get to the station after Taylor Swift but we were at the back of the pitch so probably was quicker than those seated.

I must admit when the fireworks went off at the end I had a tear in my eye. Epic concert.

I was standing too last night and prayed for a massive downpour! It was a brilliant night, my love for Mark Owen is still going strong.

I actually shouted “I love you Mark!” At one point.
I am 56, not 16 😆

Edited

I went back to pudding mill lane, stayed to the end but it was quite quick that way, was home 11:15 ish (near all saints DLR)

socks1107 · 28/06/2026 09:36

Wasn’t it a fantastic show!! We were up high which made for a sweaty evening but I danced and sang regardless!
stayed right to the end and because of the position of our seats in the stadium we were a perfect exit to leave we were on the second train from Stratford and back in Kent by 11.30. I had a fabulous evening

Tamega · 28/06/2026 09:55

my daughter (17y) and I went on Friday. I had a very good time. Also very high up and extremely hot but it was well worth.
However - it took us ages to get to the station. We did not realise that London stadium is well known for that.
we got home - Bromley - at 12.30am….

So, was anyone in massive danger because of the heat? Was the event so dangerous that it should have been cancelled, and "lessons will be learned"?

I did see a few ambulances outside of the stadium when it was over and I’m guessing it was because of the heat, I’m not sure how common that is though maybe it’s standard for a crowd that big that the odd one will pass out etc. It was a brilliant show and cancelling would have been a nightmare, they said they had over 250 dancers and what not, to have to reschedule would have probably been impossible.

You have made a massive leap to assume people are passed out through heat and needing ambulances. It’s normal for ambulances to be present at huge stadium events.

Everything concert/festival related is peak season for the next 2 months or so.

Venues, equipment, trucks and tour buses, stage crew, support staff etc. Finding all these for a rescheduled concert before the end of the summer will probably be impossible.
