Any good CF comeuppance tales?

As i'm currently going through the most mind-blowing CF situation, and waiting for the courts to open a case against them, please can you point me in the direction to the best CF threads where they got their comeuppance. This will hopefully give me some reassurance that CFs don't always get away with it!

Out riding, country lane with high hedges. Being on a horse I could see over them on a blind bend. A car came screeching up behind me, I put my hand up to say stop as we were just before the blind bend. He gave me the finger and shot around the blind bend. Where he came face to face with a tractor and had to reverse back up the road past me. I tried not to laugh too much

I pulled over and went to the hit car, the second driver was effing and jeffing. I took great delight in giving the hit driver my details as a witness, he quietly said Bloody fantastic, I needed a new exhaust too!

A similar one:

About 10 years ago, I was walking my then 4 year old daughter and Labrador, when a guy shot past us, on a bicycle. I heard some shouts just before and guessed that there'd been some other near missed before he shaved past us.

Almost immediately, he shot onto the road and I saw that he was texting. He ran into the back of a car, which was waiting at a Pelican Crossing.

We got there as the driver had got out. The cyclist was raving, berating the driver for the state of his bike and face. His wheel had cut a 6 inch rut into the bumper and rear hatch, smashed glass etc.

I was amazed that he wasn't flat out! Blood all over his face. I asked, "Are you all right? I saw everything."

"No I'm not! Look at the state of us! Look what he's done to me bike!"

I said, "I'm not talking to you, you were texting and hit him on a red light."

Anyway, I gave the driver my number and left. I got a call from him insurance few days later and explained. I had to write an account with (MN favourite) a diagram.

Anyone who says to me (I'm Uniform) "I pay your wages" I always retort "..and I pay your benefits" That usually shuts them up!

My dear 6'5" twenty stone ex basketball player husband is as soft as butter. But push him and he'll frighten the bejysus out of anyone.
We had a stalking ex landlord and he came to our new home. He was berating our teenage daughter. She phoned her father and he disappeared off our drive straight into my husband and a waiting police officer. He certainly burnt rubber and I have never before or after heard my DH threaten anyone. The f*cker is still practicing law because I let him off.

I've remembered another one about pound shop James Bond.

He was a man who bigged up everything - how well he had done, how hard done by he was, relationships, anything and everything.

He was on the village Facebook group. The woman who ran said group was called Moira and he kept talking about her as if he knew her, so I thought he did. I had previously had dealings with her for a few months, in person, which were very pleasant but hadn't seen her for a long time.

One day he was whining on about needing to know something local, I can't remember what, but I suggested he asked Moira as she was likely to have the information. He shouted "I can't ask Moira, she's a friend!" as if it was the most ridiculous suggestion in the history of the world. That told me so I left him to never find out what he needed to know and went about my own business. It always stuck with me though, as these things are wont to do.

A year or two later we were out together and met Moira. I said "I don't know if you'll remember me ..." she warmly said "Oh yes, of course I do, but I don't know him".

It was just perfect. I said nothing. I was torn between wanting to laugh at him like the fool he was or feel sorry for him.

A few years back, we were out with the DCs in central London. Very busy on the roads but we were walking along the pavements. Some idiot decided he was too important to queue in traffic so naturally he could drive onto and along the pavement, narrowly missing us and a few other people. Next car came along, stuck on blue lights and sirens and pulled Mr Impatient over. I did give the police officers a thumbs up as we carried on our way past.

I do think we need a separate ‘Pound Shop James Bond’ thread 😂😂😂😂I know one but he is more of a fantasist conman so doesn’t really fit this thread 😂

ExH and I were once out in town and were heading home. As we came down a side road towards the high street, we could see two drunken yobs making a commotion, leaping in and out of shop doorways, kicking at the glass panels and breaking them. We stopped and watched with interest as we could see what they couldn't. A couple of shops further along there was a copper lying in wait who'd been quietly chatting to a homeless person sheltering there. The timing couldn't have been better, and as the yobs leapt into the doorway, he and the homeless person nabbed the pair of them. Deep joy.

Yes it’s a shitty arrogant comment. I get it at work as well. So tempted to reply “you couldn’t afford my wages”.

Me too. I loved being a volunteer before I joined my role full time when idiots would say 'I PaY YOuR WaGes!!!' and the look of confusion on their face when I would say 'Well I haven't seen any of that mate'.

There was a particularly unpleasant man I once had to deal with in a professional capacity. He was awful to everyone, made someone in my office cry and I once had to put the phone down on him. I also later found out he had once deliberately hit someone with his car because he was unhappy with them when they were just doing their job. A really awful, entitled little man. About a year after my dealings with him, he was found murdered in his home. It turned out that it was a robbery gone wrong. Obviously I don't wish murder on anyone, but I wasn't exactly saddened to hear about this. I realise that this is quite an extreme example of the genre.

I sought that thread out this afternoon - the OP was epic in that. Thank you - it made my afternoon bearable! x

Car behind me driving aggressively, revving up close behind me then backing off a bit to do it again. He went to overtake me as his earliest opportunity. He didn't see the speed van ahead and there's no way they didn't catch him.

Indeed it was. Confident, slow and deliberate, to demonstrate that he was protecting himself.

Yes these are priceless and baffling in equal measures. Where I used to live, someone died falling from a lamppost putting up England flags and the syrupy eulogies were something else for someone with a long history of violence and football hooliganism...

From experience, it’s fairly usual for owners to request the cost of postage plus a charge for the trouble, before posting anything left behind. Has the owner requested similar?
