How many countries have you visited, excluding different parts of the UK?

As we are in holiday season just how many countries have you all been to?

I bet some have been to loads!

I have only been to 13. I imagine mine are in the low numbers...

Only a few for me. All of the uk, Ireland, France, Italy, Portugal, Croatia, Montenegro, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Tenerife, Morocco, Bulgaria, Spain and soon to be Norway.

I'm not sure where the Isle of Mann fits, and do I count Peru? I changed planes but did not leave the airport.

So not counting those, 18.

Some I have been to many times, and for weeks at a time, others, well Singapore was just one day.

I'd love to visit more but disability and worsening health means it isn't likely. Also my passport has run out but I do not want a blue passport. I had one decades ago, I want a burgundy or green one. OK rant over.

50 (obviously excluding transit locations, different UK/Spanish/Greek/Portugueseislands etc).

Should go up to 54 in a few weeks, to match my age.

Travel is such a privilege and also addictive, which habit I’ve sadly passed on to my children. With the impact on climate change, I do really need to rein it in.

A plane had to.touch down briefly in Egypt en route to Kenya one year as a passenger had a heart attack and needed a hospital.

I cannot include this country of course lol.

Well I have visited all 27 EU countries (I made it my mission after brexit). Plus about 15 others. Many of them multiple times. I’m very lucky.

I spent a miserable 15 minutes in Bulgaria once but not counting that as I only saw a desolate windswept landscape and a few decrepit apartment blocks.

Have lived in 3 of the above countries and visited others multiple times. Still more on the list such as Oman and Uzbekistan. Sadly, DH won't fly long haul so probably won't get to more exotic ones.

Or to sneak into one of Shakespeare's rehearsals.

I've been to 31 or 33 if you include very long stop overs in Moscow and Abu Dhabi. Lived and worked in two, apart from UK.

People who have been to 60 or more - which countries did you love most?

I really want to visit Central and South America - never been anywhere near them: Peru, Costa Rica. And China and Korea. DH wants to visit Georgia and Silk Road -istans.
