Wow can't believe some of these. Theres still some people with money out there. Most people I know save up for a week away at a cheap resort every few years.

I’ve been to Morocco and South of France this year. Off to Cyprus next month. I loved South of France, Morocco not so much.

Eggsandavocado · 10/06/2026 11:14

I also have a caravan so have several long weekend UK breaks planned.

I'm not going anywhere posh 😆

I have a trip to Dublin for a week in October. I have always wanted to go and never have, so I'm excited.

Every April I go to my favourite hotel in Paris for a week.

What is your favourite hotel in Paris? Was there earlier this year and want to return but not to the hotel I was in.

YessicaHaircut · 10/06/2026 12:04

Menorca at the end of August. We had a caravan holiday over Easter in Devon this year also.

Keepoffmyartichokes · 10/06/2026 12:05

We went to Norway in February and are going to Side for the first time in August.
We would like to go back to Mexico next year but can't decide which time would be better, April over the Easter Hols or December over Christmas. We like it hot and I am concerned December might be a bit cool and have cold pools. Any advice would be welcomed.

Currently in Alaska! Started in Vancouver, 8 days cruise, 8 days roadtrip!

I'm thinking of this kind of holiday next year. Talk to me about the road trip. Where are you going, are you staying in hotels or camping? Have you organised yourself or are you on a tour?

lifeturnsonadime · 10/06/2026 12:12

This year so far:

Cornwall
Madeira
London for a week
Couple of days walking the Thames path have done it in chunks.

We need to book something for September but I'm still seeking inspiration!

We went to Vietnam and Cambodia in spring last year and it was amazing. We did a guided tour, just us and a tour guide in each location, we started off in the north of Vietnam and travelled down south then went to Cambodia and did pretty much the same thing. I would absolutely go back to both places but I’d spend a bit of time relaxing on a beach somewhere in either place as our trip was very full on. We finished off with a week in Bali to relax.

italy- flying to Milan (avios points), there for 3 nights, day trip to Lake Orta by train then a train to Trieste, there for five nights including a day trip to Lublijana, then train back to Milan for the flight home. It’s our first holiday in years where we don’t have to worry about offspring, offspring’s SO/friends, Olds, the dog, self-catering or the car. So we’re doing grown-up itinerary to the hilt.

I read an article about Orta in the paper recently. Very positive, although it said that it was a bit problematic to cycle round the lake! I’d love to go there. Enjoy!

It's the Hôtel Regina Louvre. I adore its location and it's total splendour.

Two week luxury cruise round the med. We've got a suite and upgraded everything! Literally can't wait, only 7 weeks to go.

It makes a big difference if people don't have kids and are a couple with with a fairly good joint income. We did Sri Lanka in Feb, went to Seville in April, head to Poland this Saturday, Nuremberg in September, Tunis in early December and we've got a trip Guatemala and El Salvador booked for Feb. It's also a lot cheaper to book your flights and accomodation independently as opposed to package holidays to resorts.

CrushingOnRubies · 10/06/2026 19:15

Portugal in August. Cant flipping wait.

also have some weekends away camping and city break in the uk too.

Villa in the Algarve for the summer and Lapland at the end of the year.

@CoffeeAndCats3we have about £75k a year coming into this house. Our mortgage is very small so we are lucky enough to go on multiple holidays a year if we want too. We don’t have a lot of money just not very much out goings compared to some.
