Where are you going on holiday

[Holidayagain]

Hi all wheres your next holiday where you going.

I cant make my mind up so looking for some inspiration or ideas.

We had our honeymoon in the Bahamas at the beginning of the year and would defo recommend although a lot more expensive when there then I assumed! We are off to Gran Canaria with young kids in July and in August we are going to Kemer in turkey with them to never been to any of those so excited. Then I’ve got a girls trip to Valencia in September

We had two weeks in Sri Lanka in January, a short cruise to Belgium in April, just to take DS and his DP plus her parents to see if they liked cruising. Then on 1July we are heading for a cruise on the Danube, downstream from Budapest and in August a week’s cruise to Norway, taking DS1and his small DS, DS2 and his DP plus his DS and partner and our adult DGS and his DW. I think that’s 10 of us.

Was in Stockholm during the Easter holidays. Absolutely loved it. Best city break ever.
Off to Ortisei in the Dolomites in July. London with daughter in August and Bilbao with a friend in October.

Portugal in August 😎

I went to Bath with my daughter in February, Barbados in March. Have had to cancel Lucca in July due to knee replacement last month. Next holiday is Norfolk in September (with family) and then Sorrento in September/October.
Nothing else booked for this year. Will probably be Madeira or the Caribbean in the Spring ‘27.

Fort Lauderdale, went in April - best trip I’ve been on in YEARS!! So family friendly, or not depending on who you’re going with, I cannot wait to go back ☀️

We were skiing in Andorra in easter. This summer we have a big move to south Germany. We probably visit nearby cities and maybe Austria and Switzerland. No other holidays planned as we need to get settled first.

We are having some big pre retirement/ pre dog holidays. So in October we are going to South Africa. We should have gone to Jordan in April but that had to be cancelled (thanks Trump) so I need to fit that in next year.

Next year should be Egypt and Peru.

Villa on a Greek island for 2 weeks to chill out.

Webt to Florida earlier in the year for a busier holiday. Need a ‘do nothing’ type for the next one. I’m just going to read and lay on a lilo!

Currently in Alaska! Started in Vancouver, 8 days cruise, 8 days roadtrip!

Cornwall in June, Scotland in August and Crete the first week of September

End of the road, literally, at the top of Europe!

This is my dream holiday!
We went to Turkey at Easter for a week and going to Scotland in August.

Just been to Croatia, then off to Athens, in Jan we are going to St Lucia, then Sicily in May.

We’re not long back from Thailand, we’re off to Mexico in August for a wedding, Florida in September with our friends and their children then a different part of Thailand in February.

We had a week in Belfast earlier this year to celebrate my 30th. Then next month we're going on a 10 night cruise (Spain & Portugal) to celebrate me and DH's 10th anniversary. Then a few days at Sherwood forest in September.

Hats your budget and what time of year are you aiming to go? What are you looking for - family or couples get away?

Ibiza in the summer and and currently considering the Philippines for Christmas.

Austrian Alps. We've been skiing but I've always wanted to go in Summer. We are going to an Alpine village for a few days then Salzburg. My childhood obsessions with Heidi and Sound of music will finally be satisfied. We are also doing a few days in Alicante later in the season to keep kids happy. I'm lucky this year

We had a busy Sicily trip in the Spring. Next week we're going to a Greek Island and like you, I dont intend to do a great deal! It's somewhere we've been to before so are totally orientated which makes things easier too.

I completely forgot that we also had a family ski holiday in February. My skiing days are now long gone, but we were staying in a Club Med hotel, so plenty to keep me amused.

Highlands to stay with family. I don't like the Highlands, but it's what I can afford and the child has fun at least!

They were a mix.
2 concerts so made a long weekend of them.
One winter week in feb.
2 weeks in crete in a villa withe the adult children.
September will be just dh and i.
My sis and i do 3 or 4 nights abroad just us every year for the last while.
Spent decades working long long hours which paid off very well tk fk so now i travel as much as we can. I also had a terrible health scare which i recovered from after 4 months total bedrest and a year off work.
So now i inhale every moment of life and my family and travel that i can.
I am very lucky.
