What is the reason this family are in the UK?

AFAIK he was born here and he’s in his 20s. So his parents would have moved here a while ago.

Because they are British?

Dual nationality is interesting though. What does this family do as jobs? They seem hugely disfunctional

Exactly my thoughts. The police didn’t cause his death obviously but they made his last moments truly horrendous. Imagine bleeding to death, choking on your own blood and finally, help has arrived but no, they don’t listen to you saying you’ve been stabbed and can’t breathe. They tell you to put your hands behind your back and put your hand in the cuff!

I’m no medical expert but he was clearly not in a ‘normal’ state and quite unwell. Everyone else was standing around able bodied but they arrest the person who says they’ve been stabbed and can’t breathe? Is it usual for people to lie to the police that they’ve been stabbed? I would have thought if someone says that, a normal person would take that seriously and at least check. It’s absolutely shocking and the body cam footage is even worse than I expected it to be.

Completely agree, the body cam footage is terrible, worse than I expected as well. How can they stay in their jobs? Surely they need to be sacked to restore some confidence in the police and then there needs to be a review in policing priorities and changes made so that this can’t happen again. The police have to protect all of society in a fair way otherwise we will lose trust in them &
I don’t think that is a good path to go down.

'no englej' is a phrase often heard at the job centre

FatEndoftheWedge · 03/06/2026 20:40

@IGuessIllbetheFirst agree.....I don't think you have mate...

Should have been sacked immediately. Where was his duty of care ???use your eyes man ! He was a kid !! Surrounded by this family all standing and bouncing around while this young kid was weak and collapsed in the floor . So callous and unprofessional.

Weirdly I think the father is a solicitor, his brother works/worked for Starling bank and the murderer himself is an accountant.

Didn't the policewoman, when the ambulance was finally called, say he was "beat up" not stabbed as well? It's just complete callous incompetence from start to finish.

And she had a very casual -if you have one available- absolutely no sense of the urgency 😡

IGuessIllbetheFirst · 03/06/2026 20:45

Agree @FatEndoftheWedge - really basic stuff - if someone says they have been stabbed and can’t breathe, then check it out. Don’t just believe what you have been told. When did our police become so incompetent / easily influenced that they stopped doing their job?

That scum killer was looming over Henry and he was told to move back. He said Henry hadn’t been stabbed and showed them that he had a small cut over his eye and his turban had been ripped off. We now know he did that himself

Why he stabbed Henry isn’t clear to me but he 100% used his race to get the police attention away from that dying boy.

His scum Mother then hid the knife.

Hid the knife and let another mother’s son die without calling an ambulance .

summermidnightsun · 03/06/2026 20:53

I wonder how the police reacted after that footage was taken, when they realised he really had been stabbed. Did they finally check or was it not until the ambulance arrived. I think I would be haunted for the rest of my days.

SpaceRaccoon · 03/06/2026 20:54

I just saw a little compilation video of him and his older sister together, dancing, laughing, and being silly. They're clearly so close. How must she be feeling now?

Noras · 03/06/2026 20:57

I hope that they investigate and if appropriate bring criminal proceedings against those police involved so that hopefully they lose their pensions. They need to suffer a little bit proportionally as the parents no doubt suffered.

I blame the Gov - why do we hear nothing and see nothing of the boats arriving daily - I suspect it is shut down by the Gov, perhaps they warn the media to leave it as they think it causes anti immigration rhetoric.
Where I live there are weekly protests about the immigrants housed in the very nice local hotels - but you wouldn't know - nothing is reported even though police are brought in (as it's a small town) to police them each Sat night.
The Gov are forcing people to be 'kind' (to ethnic minorities), including the police. It's becoming a tinder box and we will have a Reform Gov if they don't sort this out.

Edited

This has nothing to do with the boats. Sikh people are not coming over on boats. Why can't people see that at the heart of this problem is the rose in knife crime and for that, I do blame the government. The law is way too lenient on knife carrying, hence why so many young people are getting away with it. This was at the heart of Henry's dad's request but everyone is ignoring that and focusing on race. Finally, it's pretty depressing that any Police force needs any training or guidelines to know how to treat different ethnicities. People are people.

Is it true that the killer’s family were verbally abusive in court? Has this been reported by a reliable source anywhere? I can’t trust X / Twitter

SpaceRaccoon · 03/06/2026 21:09

I'm seeing reporting that the initial altercation was elsewhere and Henry got dragged to outside the Digwa house?

God. I am surprised with this. Did he say why he stabbed Henry. A young 18 year old on his own.

It was the way he was right in the faces of the
police, claiming he had been abused and then knowing he had stabbed Henry told the police he hadn’t. Also talking in Punjabi to his brother which was then translated.

i hope he is looking over his shoulder every day in prison.

Yes. Phrased here as "an argument broke out", but I think recent events have spoken to the charaters of both families.

It has been news to me that police is told to treat us differently based on ethnicity! I did not know and I now 100% get this two tier policing. Well, there may be more than two tiers. And this shite only leads to prejudice.
In an emergency, we should all be treated the same, no nuance needed when it comes to tend to an stabbed young man.
It is for those who later on would have all the information from the investigation to take into account any nuance.
What about if I look full on white British, but I am actually from Africa? How should I be treated by a police officer called to deal with me? They have never seen me and they know nothing about me. But, if I am lying on the ground, being rather quiet and showing no aggression, well, whatever my ethnicity, they can proceed without considering me a threat. No need to put me on a choke hold, right?
Only nuance I would accept is if they are shown how to identify signs of anger, swearing or similar that may allow them to foresee or identify aggression in other languages/ cultures.

I always thought there was a difference in policing as black men have a few harrowing stories on treatment by the Police. There have been many cases (I'd have to look them up) of people being kicked, manhandled while cuffed. Police have treated ethnic minorities and working class white people badly for years. There are too many bad officers for sure. I'm not saying they're all the same btw but too many. Look at the Sarah Everard case and the officers who passed around footage of the dead sisters. They get punished and we move on. It's not right.

What really happened the night Henry Nowak was murdered

December 3, 2025 was supposed to be an ordinary night out for Henry Nowak, celebrating the end of his first term at the University of Southampton with his football teammates

I’ve wept all day thinking of this kid in his final moments. It’s truly broken my heart.

Had he been shown some care, compassion and treated with the decency and respect that he deserved in his final moments then it would have undoubtedly brought some kind of comfort to his family.

As a mum of a son, it would haunt me, replaying his final moments and the sarcastic words from the officer involved.

That vermin that did this deserves to suffer in an unimaginable way.
