No-Faggots,god knows why but I loved them.
Liver.Dont fancy it at all 30 years later.

Yes-Angel Delight, still occasionally have the Butterscotch one.I would still eat Potted beef in a sandwich and probably really enjoy it.

Fish paste sandwiches - I don’t think I ate them with the joy in the first place but I didn’t want to be rude I think, same goes for that horrible hamburger relish stuff. See also Christmas Pudding for desserts.

Everything else I continue to eat!

I’m the opposite - fish paste sandwiches have followed me to adulthood and are my secret & guilty pleasure! I do only eat them when no one else is around 😂

the thing I don’t eat any more is rice pudding. We used to have it a lot when I was a child and now I couldn’t face it now. I remember having cold cans in my lunchbox!

Frikadelle · Today 18:09

My Grandad let me eat raw sausages, and i thought they tasted great. I've been a vegetarian for over 40 years now and it turns my stomach to think about it.

Another no to faggots and yes to Angel Delight

quantumbutterfly · Today 18:11

Oxtail, ox tongue, steak & kidney pie. Couldn't face eating kidneys after I dissected one in biology.
Still enjoy fried liver & liver pate.

Processed ready meals

Nofeckingway · Today 18:12

Wouldn't eat a Findus Crispy Pancake now
Any Vesta meal
Sunny D
Bernard Matthews Turkey Burger or anything from that brand really
Anything that came in a tin

Would love an Angel Delight pudding if I could get one

Buscobel · Today 18:14

Vesta curries.

Crikeyalmighty · Today 18:14

Things I would eat

still like fish finger sandwiches, cold pots of rice pudding, cold tinned custard, tinned mandarin oranges, trifle

things I wouldn’t eat
dripping and toast, cream cakes, cereal of any kind ( apart from the odd bit of granola in Greek yoghurt) evaporated milk , steak ( hate it)

Grey powdered instant mash
tinned processed peas (god knows what the 'process' was)
chips fried in a chip pan which contained blackened cheap cooking oil

They stink though don’f they?!

I don’t tend to buy rice pudding so I don’t know how I would feel about it - maybe a future test!

Injuredandoffwork · Today 18:17

I’ve always loathed angel delight, especially the butterscotch one, but ate the chocolate flavour as a child because my mum thought I liked it.🤣
My grandmother made steamed suet pudding with real suet and served it with golden syrup if offered it now I reckon I would still eat it and enjoy it.

Lard

boil in a bag fish in parsley sauce. Boil in a bag anything, in fact.

corn beef hash.

Nottinghillrose · Today 18:18

Tripe, cold, smothered in salt and vinegar. Every Saturday night for tea. Hated the stuff.

Timeforatincture · Today 18:21

Used to have sugar sandwiches for Sunday tea. Loved them with plenty of cold butter - great crunch! Wouldn't have one now.

We had liver a lot when I was a kid (cheap) and I still like it and cook it.

Karma2023 · Today 18:21

Liver, couldn't eat it now but admittedly it was very rare to be given to us children

Sunny D and Frosties and Jelly. Mum always made us Jelly for dessert.

Still like rice pudding but never eaten cold.

2dogsandabudgie · Today 18:26

Wouldn't eat jelly, blamange. Sandwich spread, not sure if they still do that.

LarksAscending · Today 18:26

Bacon. I can’t get over the health concerns of processed meat. Shepherds pie… makes me gag.

DrCoconut · Today 18:28

No to meat. I find it disgusting. The taste and the texture make me heave. I stopped eating it when I left home for uni at 18. My parents thought vegetarianism was a ridiculous teenage fad and wouldn't allow it.

KurtCobainLover · Today 18:31

Tapioca pudding - I used to love it growing up but just the thought of it makes me feel nauseous now.

Another one who would still eat Angel Delight (chocolate flavour please).

caringcarer · Today 18:32

Fish fingers, meat paste, kidney as in Mum's homemade steak and kidney pie.

Oh dear God !
And I thought marrowfat peas were bad. Not the tinned kind.
Mum would soak them and added something like a bread soda tablet to them - I have no idea why.
Ghastly things marrowfats.
