Does anyone believe Nicola Sturgeon?

As per title, does anyone actually believe NS with her claims she had no idea her husband stole £400k, didn't notice the MANY luxury items just appearing around her home, and is a victim in his deceit?

It certainly raises questions about how the list system works when it managed to allocate such a disproportionate number of seats to pro-independence parties who got considerably less votes than the pro-union parties.

Agree. When you start looking at the numbers in any great detail (NS, take note), the truth becomes a lot clearer.

Poland is nice, I would’ve mind living there…

The undecideds would be much more put off by the SNPs mismanagement of Scotland than a lesbian leader.

Odd thing to say to someone who was abused.

Agree with second sentence.

redboxer321 · 01/06/2026 15:44

@Gotobedbyday Agree with second sentence but it doesn't make her sexuality a non issue imo.

PhaedraTwo · 01/06/2026 16:11

I'm just tired of hearing how tolerant the people of Scotland are when it wasn't always my experience

I've had a die hard separatist and close relative of an SNP MSP, ridiculing my accent because it's not Scottish enough.

Another member of that family used to go on about white settlers. - meaning of course English.

Uricon2 · 01/06/2026 16:54

The crucial thing about her believability for me is her attempts to shut down any investigation of concerns about the SNP finances, coming from multiple people, over a period. That and not questioning why a Jaguar costing around the same as PM's net salary for a year was parked in their drive.

She was in charge of the party, her job requires accountability and her stance now does not wash. As has been said upthread, if she was just supremely disinterested and considered the financials irrelevant, it is bad enough. She was paid to be interested.

RonnieForteWhiskyTalkinNSOUL · 01/06/2026 17:14

Considering she ruled the SNP and Scotland with an iron fist IE her Wye or nae Wye ..I don't believe anything got past her

100% control freak

It's amazing what people can fail to see when it suits them and their agenda. Remember, independence is like a cult - their leaders are beyond reproach, the faithful vote for them no matter what, and blind eyes are turned to all the failings.

It’s so frustrating!

IsThisEverOkay00 · 01/06/2026 17:40

How was the motor home in the balance sheet if PM bought it for himself (with stolen money).

My issue is simple - I know she is a liar, and liars lie, so I cannot believe a single word.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c05eedgp804o
She knows Isla Bryson is a man. She knows people cannot change sex. She knows violent men are dangerous to women. She is a horror, a disgusting careerist who will do anything to line her pocket and further her power.
Liar, liar, pants on fire.

Have a different opinion that you on trans rights doesn't make her a liar. It just makes her someone who has a difference of opinion with you.

The problem is, when you habitually lie about one thing then your grasp of reality tends to bend with the wind on other things. Falsus in uno and all that.

She invented a third sex, ffs. Man, Woman, Rapist. She is not an honest person.

OllyBJolly · 01/06/2026 18:38

She's either lying, lazy or incompetent. One of her direct reports was fiddling the books for 12 years.

(and they're not divorced - she is being very disingenuous in implying that they are)

But NS didn’t believe it, did she? If she did, she would have insisted Isla ( Adam Bryson) stayed in the female estate. And referred to him as ‘she’ in the interviews. But she didn’t.

She knew he was a man. She failed to have the courage of her alleged convictions when under pressure. Because she didn’t really believe it either.

But she had still been prepared to make real live working class women be locked up with a rapist under the absurd direction she took Scotland in. But her own comfort zone toeing the line on gender ideology was limited to cosy chats in meeting rooms with Stonewall et al. She wanted other woman to live with the real life of consequences of it, but she didn’t even have the courage to use the preferred pronouns of ‘Isla’ in a media interview.

Cowardly, cynical woman.

GameOfJones · 01/06/2026 19:40

I cannot stand NS and absolutely detest her politics. She is incompetent and negligent but that isn't the same thing as believing she's a criminal.

She has plausible deniability, particularly as the police investigated her and she hasn't been charged with anything (apart from being an idiot, perhaps.)

NosnowontheScottishhills · 01/06/2026 22:15

@redboxer321 I find it very sad that you meet intolerance however misplaced anywhere in the UK. I have Polish friends currently living in England they are often on the receiving end of such comments as “go back to Poland” etc they regularly visit Scotland and feel it’s more friendly to them.
But the sad truth is that unfortunately intolerance exists everywhere I feel that generally Scots are more tolerant but it’s inevitable that not every Scot will be.

SwirlyGates · 02/06/2026 11:42

@BashthatTerriesorange ah, if only she could get locked up with one of those "women".

because I call them camper vans.

”A Camper-Van is a compact, van-based vehicle that doubles as an everyday driver.” Whereas a large purpose built vehicle costing £140k is called a Motorhome,

That made me laugh ! 😆
The motorhome only did 4 miles as well. At least they can sell it on and pay back a lot that way ( maybe)

WhatdoIkno · 02/06/2026 20:25

He was spending about an extra £25-£30k per year on bits and pieces other than the van, so yes, given separate finances and the level they were both earning at, I can believe she didn’t realise.

Interestingly, my constituency MSP was replaced at the recent election by a LibDem, and none of my list MSPs are from the SNP (though 2 are pro-independence - Greens).

IberianLynx · 02/06/2026 20:39

The motor home situation is most bizarre, if it wasn’t used for travelling I’m wondering if he used it as a separate home. Or did it literally just sit in the drive?!

Hameth · 02/06/2026 20:53

After tax as its net spending its 800k equivalent. No way is that unnoticed.

The real issue though is there was supposed to be £600k ring fenced in the accounts she signed off that just wasn't there.
And despite resignations refused to answer questions about accounts.

She wants it to be about the domestic situation because the real evidence is at the political/work end.

Morrell must have hated her and the SNP. The items are a sign of mental instability. How was he ever going to use the motor home?
