@fundamentallyauthentic has a good point. bad news sells. That's why the newspapers are full of it. Narratives landing in the middle generally don't get the same coverage. It's the same concept as online rage bait.

....and negativity bias. Scandals tend to sell. It creates an interesting loop when you think about it

MJ has a big fan base and we know plenty are super fans. There would be a huge demand especially because people would be watching hoping to see more damning things about the families involved. Also a lot of people love 'deep dives' now.

Anyway....we have seen both sides, what other side is there to the MJ side, there's nothing else they can put forward except to have more people who couldn't possibly know he was innocent, saying he was innocent, and just to continue on in trying to discredit the families, so it's a silly point to argue.

Well there is Square One and obviously the biopic which I personally didn't like. Perhaps with the success of the latter there will be scope for more balanced programmes in the future.

I would imagine the next batch of documentaries will come after the Robson/Safechuck Lawsuit.

Also, a more balanced documentary would be controversial and some commissioners and producers would be too worried about being cancelled.

But I could argue the same point about Robson and Safechuck - what else is there for us to know other than what they’ve already said? Unless they have some new evidence (which they should if they want to have a good chance of avoiding being financially ruined).

Well we don't know what they are going to produce but I know the lawyers are claiming they have evidence showing that up to 20 families have been paid off, I know they're trying to get the pictures showing the markings matched, I believe they were trying to get MJs fixer (who quit) to testify or to have his deposition unsealed etc etc.

As discussed previously MJ benefited from the accusations being in the 90s and 00s because a lot of the stuff isn't recorded properly on the internet, there are fragments here and there and a lot of people spreading misinformation, such as what was said about the prosecution admitting that the naked pictures of boys didn't exist, even though they related to other pictures. It's easy for fans and supporters to dispute things when the records are fragmented and distorted. So if more documentaries come out as a result of what Robson and Safechuck bring to the lawsuit then at least the information is actually known, people can't hide behind the information not being easily available and not knowing if they can verify the source. Of course some will still dispute it but some will definitely have their eyes opened.

I see a need for these documentaries anyway seeing as now some of the fans are trying to claim he never slept in the bed with kids at at all, and that he was just saving and protecting children. including from Epstein island 🙉We have seen MJ be glorified by many and you yourself regularly posted about how well the Biopic was doing at the box office, it would be naive for people to expect that people were going to allow him to be glorified and deified without others discussing the inappropriate relationships with boys.

Yes the Hollywood fixer we discussed earlier in this thread, the one MJ hired to find out dirt on the Chandlers, he's the one who got the recordings of Evan, the one who said he quit cos he found out some truths and that Michael did more to those boys than molest them.

Exactly. The mental gymnastics that some people will do rather than accept what obviously is the truth is bloody scary.

I am so curious about those who think he is innocent. A grown man does not share a bed with a boy. In the Martin Bashir doc the boy said Michael said come on if you love me you would stay in my bed.......thats just abuse. On top of that I cannot believe in the trial they said Gavin was floundering. A teen in a court room talking about being abused and being shouted at by a defense lawyer. I am just horrified by how the victims were treated. I wish they would stop playing any of his music. He is no different to Jimmy Saville in my opinion! Was he talented. Yes. Does not stop him also being a vile abusive man.

You forgot to include one important fact here,which seems to be a common re occurrence on here. Michael said "if you loved me,you'd sleep on the bed and I'll sleep on the floor". According to various sources he preferred to sleep on the floor. But I guess you believe sources like Netflix 🙄🤷‍♂️

No, you seem to have not read all the information or listened to the testimonials. He talks himself about sharing a bed. And ok let's take the bed out of it. Its still not ok for a grown man to sleep in the same room as a child. Why does he need to do that. Why on earth are we not believing the victims. I have been certain he has been guilty since allegation number 1. I havent even watched the Netflix documentary

Does where he 'slept' in the room matter? I have two sons. If a stranger or in fact even a close family friend suggested that just they share a room with them why, just why. Its not a lack of space is it! And anyone who is not abusing children would not put themselves in that position. Again. I ask the question as I am really curious. Those who believe he is innocent? Why?

To me, not really, except I want @AutumnLover1990 to answer the question because she is completely fixated on the end of that Martin Bashir clip and going on about important facts etc and making out that the Jackson estate should sue Netflix etc for not putting the end of the clip in.

This seems to be common among his fans at the moment, they're just completely denying he ever slept in the bed with boys.

Also to those who do believe him. Would you let a famous man stay in a room with your child without you and if not why not? I am trying to stay open minded but I simply cannot believe these poor kids were brave enough to step forward only not to be believed. There are so many signs the families and boys were groomed. It breaks my heart.

What I find interesting is how many make out that MJ was a saint yet blame the parents for terrible parenting by letting them stay there.

I think it's terrible parenting also, but if you believe MJ was a saint when you never even knew him and defend him this passionately despite all of the accusations and evidence then surely you'd be the type who would have definitely let your kids sleep with him if you got to be around this sweet angel man child and he was love bombing your family?
