One of my hearings-to-the-purpose was that an early plan was for Vance to run for POTUS in 2028, endorsed by DT, with DT as his running shuffling mate. When Vance was duly elected by the MAGA faithful and millions of grateful ordinary citizens, he would promptly resign and Trump would resume the presidency under Section 1 of the 25th.

The 12th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution bars anyone who isn't eligible to be POTUS from serving as VP. And the 22nd Amendment bars anyone who has been elected twice from becoming POTUS. Since Scrotus has been elected twice he is ineligible to serve as POTUS, therefore is ineligible to serve as VP.

Not to say that he wouldn't be game to try. But I think one would be hard pressed to find someone who fought hard to get elected POTUS who would be willing to hand the highest office in the land over to anyone, even Scrotus. The refusal to do so would be the biggest double cross in history, worthy of Scrotus himself.

But even though it would be satisfying to see, I wouldn't want to see it in real life.

I would really be looking at how the word "elected" fits into that framework. It doesn't bar a POTUS being appointed for example.

That is why it is important when the Fart karks it or gets 25thed: if it is before or after the mid-terms makes a difference to whether Vance could serve two full terms or only one, I think.

Theoretically, if Vance succeeds to office and serves less than two years of Scrotus' remaining term, he can be elected twice. If he serves more than two years, he can be elected to one additional term.

I'm assuming 'term' begins with Inauguration Day. So Scrotus would have to hold off karking it until after Jan 2027 to allow Vance to serve two additional terms.

But as they say "No one lives longer than a nasty, rich old man". So I expect Scrotus to live to 100. Poor Melania, she'll wait a long time for those dead man's shoes.

I reminds me of so many "other" threads on here. He can't back up anything he says, so his claims get wilder and wilder, then he just insults.

I think the face to face format is wrong. And that applies to many politicians really.

I think a MN format would be better. Sit him there with a laptop, and a big screen. An assistant maybe to do the laptop. Have him to back up his claims with data and put it on the big screen.
