"Why should the Air Force and other Military personnel be forced to wait through a long Legal Review process and, perhaps, even more so, why should Wounded Warriors be forced to travel long distances to play Golf somewhere else or, worse yet, not play Golf at all,"

See, he has plenty of "lefty" in him. That statement could have come from a progressive dem rep, Or a compassionate Republican. Golf for heroes sort of thing.

"The president said that officials planned to restore two "old and dilapidated" golf courses "into two, World Class, Jack Nicklaus Designed Courses, plus nine additional holes, also designed by Jack, specially adapted for our Wounded Warriors." He stated that the current courses are terrible."

Joint Base Andrews he is talking about.

I won't supply a link. The quotes above are true. Honest. I think that might be his healthcare plan he promised to publish in 2 weeks...

I am reading that Trump's trailer trash fight on the WH lawn on 14 June is running into huge problems.

The weather is a worry (rain, lightning) but particularly the massive lights on the monstrosity attracting gnats bugs and even bats. Sounds like a fun night, not. I imagine if they are plagued by bugs, that'll be Obama's fault of course.

Dana White Says Weather and Bugs Threaten White House UFC Event

President Donald Trump’s birthday UFC fight night on the White House lawn will make use of a custom-built outdoor arena called “The Claw.” UFC President Dana White fears it could be the event’s undoing. White, 56, who is putting on the made-for-TV even...

A question for news watchers.

Limited news where I am as many know. I just wondered if any news watchers can say if US VP Vance ever says anything about the country he is VP of ?

I remember he suggested protestors in the US are funded agitators, but so far as the US goes, that seems to be about it. The only other times I see him is the news he is either doing political campaigns for other countries elections (Orban), criticising NATO, having a go at the EU, complaining about healthcare in Greenland, having a go at The Pope. and now blaming UK immigration policy for a crime committed by a UK citizen... in the UK.

Is he actually involved in US politics at all ?

Or am I just getting the wrong impression based on the news I can access ?

BustingBaoBun · 06/06/2026 07:37

Vance has got a nerve, he can just fuck off. For him to criticise the UK and Europe when his country is rapidly going down the toilet is laughable

"People are all thanking me because Washington's beautiful again. The parks are open, we changed the grass,"

"You know, grass has a life also. Like people, grass has a life, and that grass hasn't been changed in the last 70, 80 years."

"It died many times over. We have beautiful grass, beautiful parks, beautiful everything."

Source for context :

People spot major clue in Donald Trump's health after 6-day disappearance - The Mirror US

Although TBH, I don't think any context justifies a POTUS claiming to have changed all the grass.

That is so weird - is it weirder than his other stuff? You know I can’t recall.

I’ve been watching the cunts this side of the pond rather than Trump side - have a fash family fun day in my city next week (their advert, not my words!) but I am interested in what’s happening in Iran - you know just selfishly for petrol and food and random, irrelevant stuff.

I will catch up - but as someone said above wtf else is there left to say about this shitshow that hasn’t been said already - I know I ran out of words a few threads back.

Best of wishes to all stuck there - and any visiting for any reason, including that footie thing going on shortly!

Bad news from the ME, as overnight Kuwait and Bahrain were under attack. My source in Kuwait said that women and children were screaming and crying in fear at the airport.

Trump's response was to post

We just hit Iran, and we hit them hard, folks tremendous strikes, the likes of which they've never seen before! blah, blah, blah "pathetic!"

I saw on the CNN feed about the sirens going off in the gulf, but not much info. So thanks for the update.

CNN is more about Lebanon just now and the ceasefire there. The ceasefire that is not a ceasefire.

I think if this revisionism keeps going as it is, we will soon have WW2 described as a skirmish.

Spandauer · 06/06/2026 08:54

Not much to add to the discourse at the moment - frustration, anger, sorrow, helplessness are still rotating daily emotions.

It still feels like we could probably fill a thread every couple of days but as @L1ttledrummergirl posted up thread
Every day it's the same, lie, contradict, lie, fuck something up, lie, walk away leaving a mess, lie, rinse and repeat.

Hoping for the heavens to open, the locusts to swarm and the paid-for crowds to sink in the WH lawn mud on June 14th.

Unfortunately I can no longer link via archive.ph for some reason. From The Times.

Iran has targeted US bases in Kuwait and Bahrain with ballistic missiles as the two sides continued to trade missiles on Friday, despite a ceasefire remaining in place.
America’s military said Iran had fired a total of seven ballistic missiles at both Gulf nations. “Initial assessments indicate six of the missiles launched by Iran were intercepted and a seventh did not reach its intended target.

“There are currently no reports of harm to US personnel, and Iranian claims of damaging US 5th fleet headquarters in Bahrain are false,” the US Central Command (Centcom) said in a statement.
Iran also said it fired at four tankers attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz without its permission. Tehran said it was retaliating after Washington struck Iranian surveillance sites in Goruk and Qeshm Island, which are both on the waterway.

Since the start of a declared ceasefire in Iran on April 8, Trump has repeatedly suggested that a deal between Iran and the US could be days away. However, he has privately told aides he would consider ending the ceasefire if Iran were to kill US troops, The Wall Street Journal reported.
The president’s reluctance to resume hostilities suggests he might be willing to tolerate similar flare-ups for weeks or even months to avoid a return to conflict, the report added.
Hours before Iran fired the ballistic missiles, Trump told NBC News that Tehran only has “22 per cent, 21 per cent of their missiles”.

He said a peace deal had not yet been signed between Washington and Tehranbecause Iran’s leaders were “strong” and “proud”, telling NBC News: “There are things they never thought they’d be doing, that they’re going to have to do. They’ve got no choice.”
The past few weeks have been marked by periodic skirmishes between the two sides as the US is enforcing a blockade on Iranian ports in response to Iran’s chokehold on the Strait of Hormuz.

Earlier on Friday, Iran fired warning shots at two American warships in the Gulf of Oman after the US navy intercepted a sanctioned vessel in the Indian Ocean.
Tasnim, the Iranian state news agency, said Tehran attacked two American destroyers with drones and missiles in retaliation for “US interference in regional shipping lanes”.
On Friday morning, US forces said they had boarded the Davina, a supertanker that can carry up to two million barrels of crude oil and which flies no nation’s flag.

“We will continue global maritime enforcement to disrupt illicit networks and interdict vessels providing material support to Iran, wherever they operate,” the US Indo-Pacific Command posted on X. “International waters cannot be used as a shield by sanctioned actors.”
It came after Hezbollah’s leader rejected a US-mediated ceasefire with Israel on Thursday, branding it a “surrender’’ as Israel conducted airstrikes in southern Lebanon and the militia fired rockets and drones.

There's a brilliant opinion piece in The Times about stupidity and the war in Iran.

The not-quite-over war in Iran shows stupidity gets its own way

After three months on the rollercoaster, with oscillating statements and almost-peace deals, the truth is President Trump is no nearer a solution in the Gulf

Reading that times article above, Trump really does sound like a low information voter propping up the bar in his local, spouting off rubbish while on his 6th pint.

And it will get worse. Because one day the seal will break on the medical stuff, and he will never shut up about it.

The Scottish version is this :

"Aye, ah canna stop needing a piss. But when ah go, it disnie come oot. Ach, the dochter is fair baffled. He wints these pills, they pills, but ah still canna piss. Modern science is baffled. How is that pool bigger than skyscrapers? (If I'm wrong it's because I'm illiterate in Maths.)😆

Volume ❎
Dimensions ❎
Area ❎
Height/depth ❎ (height is only equals length in the Trump dictionary)

And re the Remnant Kings decorations, inside those pleated tassels are the new flags of Greenland and Cuba, ready to be whipped out as soon as those countries are taken over by Trump's bigly military forces.
You read it here first

The best explanation I have read is that Trump has confused "pool" with "poll".

Very easy when you are looking at your ninth decade in existence.

Sounds like God's up to his old tricks - violent storms, plagues of insects. The wars are underway and chaos and despair rains. Hopefully it's Old Testament God rocking up to put paid to DT and his legion of evil lickspittles, and not the benign New Testament "there, there, off you go and be a good boy" one. I long for the day when they get their public comeuppances, the ing lot of them.

I am, however, curious about the 250th anniversary shitshow that is forthcoming. T has made no secret that the fact that multiple acts have withdrawn their services leaves the stage clear for him to grandstand live onstage, at length. ("In celebration of our Country's 250 Year History, we will be bringing you, LIVE, the Greatest Rally, EVER! It will be special at every level – A Rally to end all Rallies!", "All we want is you, me, a few speakers...", "the main attraction would be “a fine and highly dignified gentleman known as, President DONALD J. TRUMP!” etc.) If no-one has the courage or ability to try and stop him, this could go very VERY very badly wrong. An extended omnirant about how weak and worthless all Americans except himself are, and who knows what it will also descend into, in front of an increasingly bewildered live audience, while his soulless cronies continue to joylessly smile and applaud behind him as they watch any remaining shreds of their meaningless credibility burn before their eyes, would be truly very entertaining indeed. I hope it goes ahead. (sadly, I suspect the whole may be cancelled by wiser WH heads who can also see what's coming).

Does anyone remember the "Daniel Barker's Birthday" thread that gloriously lit up Twitter a few years ago by the poster FrogCroakley? Trump has now gone FULL fictional dystopian Daniel Barker. The parallels are sadly striking.

As MNHQ has advised

It would be slightly disingenuous to suggest that despite the appearances, MNHQ actually know their users very well. Suffice is to say they hold some posters (those with a posting history that suggests some discretion) to a higher standard and expect a level of self censorship so as not to scare the horses.

Irn Bru is great.

But it's even better watered down with a bit of Famous Grouse.

Hell, at a push I have even been known to water it down with any whisky. Too strong otherwise.

No, no, no @DuncinToffee Those were not protesters but a bigly welcome party for Jared et al. The Albanians were shouting, "Show us the money! We love gold everywhere! F protected lands!" (in Trump's universe).

Like Biden. All the billions Trump claims Biden and Hunter were paid, they ain't splashing it about on private Bond villain islands. No, they are more restrained. Biden bought a new tin of Turtle Wax for his Corvette, and Hunter bought a new laptop.
