Do you believe the Michael Jackson allegations?

For me it’s undeniable and the evidence is overwhelming, but I’m shocked by the amount of people who don’t.

Are those type of sickos generally that open though? I have no idea so I'm genuinely asking. I feel like Michael was the only one who openly admitted doing that so the world didn't really know what to think. Like yes it was dodgy and inappropriate as hell but if he was guilty why on earth would he be so open about it?

I’m sure there will be someone else that remembers better than me, but there was something about paedophiles grooming children, even if they hadn’t themselves had the opportunity to abuse, had made it easier for the next one to come into contact with the child. So the fact he normalised sleeping with children (as a beautiful thing) is vile in that context.

Really? Wouldn't the chimp just have ripped his face off?

Abused animals don’t, that’s how chimps and other physically stronger animals were used by humans.

Another on the fence.

For me Wade Robson is not credible.

He has lied at least once, either during the trial for the defence, or for the Leaving Neverland documentary.

5 little boys who shared a bed with him have accuse him of abuse. What about the others, if for some odd reason you find Wade Robson not credible?

MyMilchick · 07/05/2026 08:24

Yep. Cant believe anyone doesnt tbh. Mostly fans I think who dont want to believe its true.

IsawwhatIsaw · 07/05/2026 08:26

Yes I believe the allegations. It was another case - like Savile- of him hiding in plain sight.
And the evidence was there- never young girls, always young boys.
Certainly his wealth and the deference he was shown allowed him to get away with this for so long.

luckylavender · 07/05/2026 08:29

Yes I do. 100%

Crikeyalmighty · 07/05/2026 08:35

Very weird mixed up man and far too much ‘stuff ‘ for their to be nothing to see - however I will never ever understand the parents in this scenario either. Can’t work out if they were somehow ‘in on this’ or thinking they could somehow make money from it - which of us would willingly have sent our 9 year olds round for sleepovers??

lljkk · 07/05/2026 08:36

I don't know all the allegations so I can't believe them.
Broadlly I suspect the allegations are mostly rumour & gossip & even some downright malice.
Maybe there was some true predatory behaviour in there, too.
If people feel they must strive to get justice for his victims, I'm not standing in their way.
I don't need to know. It's not important to me what happened.
So I don't believe because I don't need to believe anything about MJ.

teawamutu · 07/05/2026 08:38

Of course. Hoofbeats=horses.

Rumour and gossip...

All those poor little boys just made it up then.

I find paedophile apologisers unbearable.

YessicaHaircut · 07/05/2026 08:48

Yes I believe the allegations 100%. Those poor children. Like many others on this thread I find the recent film and West End show in really poor taste and honestly can’t believe that people are going to see them.

Princejoffyjaffur · 07/05/2026 08:54

No, I suspect it's people after a payout

Fizbosshoes · 07/05/2026 08:54

If we assume all the police and prosecution featured on the documentaries are lying and the accusers themselves are all lying we are left with MJ himself.
In his own words they had sleepovers in the same room, sometimes in the same bed, "because it was a loving thing to do" And they watched movies and ate cookies.
Swap MJ for someone else of the same age having sleepovers with young unrelated boys...

Would anyone actually think this was ok, no red flags???

FernandoSor · 07/05/2026 08:55

Yes, of course.

SpaDaysForAll · 07/05/2026 09:03

It’s concerning the amount of women, who are on a parenting forum, coming forward to defend a man who slept in the same bed as multiple children and has had constant allegations over the years.

No child should be able to describe birth marks on a grown male pop stars genitalia.

HappySonHappyMum · 07/05/2026 09:04

I grew up during the 80s watching the Michael Jackson story play out in real time. I saw him in concert at the old Wembley when I was 18. My daughter has viewed him through the lens of the internet and has no real time experience of the events during his lifetime. She's watched a few programs - likes his music - doesn't necessarily believe everything because he was never convicted - can separate the music from the person. I believe he's a pedophile. We went and saw the new movie together and I thought it was an extremely sanitised version of this life. She thought the music they chose for the movie was odd! She has a different view because she's been fed a different narrative. I'm not surprised people view things differently.

Miranda65 · 07/05/2026 09:04

It is, of course, perfectly possible to admire someone's art, music etc whilst still disapproving of their behaviour (the "Caravaggio was a murderer, but his paintings are wonderful" approach).
It's also possible for someone to merit sympathy (for childhood abuse, mental illness, real unhappiness) and yet also deserve condemnation for alleged/actual criminal behaviour.
None of us know the real truth - we weren't there - but it's understandable that there is such concern and debate.

Mcdhotchoc · 07/05/2026 09:05

Yes I absolutely do.
It's the same as Jimmy Saville. It was practically being done in plain sight.
I cannot fathom people who can separate the music from him.

What I do find interesting on these threads about him (because theres quite a few at the moment) is the vehement defence of him and the statements that he was found not guilty so he cant be guilty

When on every other thread if someone so much as raises a sniff of an allegation or 'red flag' about a new partner or current partner or next door neighbour, hes virtually hung drawn and quartered already, let alone someone who was accused of assault or rape/abuse but found not guilty, posters will nearly always say, probably 90% of the time that 'well he was definitely guilty but the courts arent fit for purpose in cases of child abuse/rape'

Whats different here?

likelysuspect · 07/05/2026 09:07

Is it because the victims are boys?

Missohnoyoubetterdont · 07/05/2026 09:09

@Miranda65 disagree, at least from a personal perspective, I can not separate the man from these heinous crimes, if maybe they had been of lesser weight, perhaps…but not child abuse. Every time I hear his music I wonder why we are still being submitted to it? Why money is still being poured into his estate. Absolutely gobsmacked they are still making films about him.

HornyHornersPinger · 07/05/2026 09:14

Yes 1000%

Watching leaving Neverland and hearing the guy saying he could deny the abuse until having his own children was exactly what happened to me.

Wade Robson still teaches dance using MJ's music. Make of that what you will 🤔🤦‍♂️
