I don't drink alcohol but I do like having something naice to drink if I'm sitting out in the sun.
Something a bit more interesting than plain old coca-cola/fanta etc.

I quite like elderflower cordial with sparkling water, or soda and lime but would like some suggestions of something new to try!

I really dislike the taste of artificial sweeteners so tend to avoid any diet or "light" versions. I used to love Ginger Ale but it's impossible to find one that hasn't had all the sugar replaced with sweeteners.

San Pellegrino

At the pub I tend to drink pineapple juice & soda water. I've sometimes had a Crodino spritz but found they can be either fantastic or far too heavy & bitter, depending on the skill of the bar person! In Germany recently I discovered Fritz-Spritz drinks 😋 (esp the orange one)

Marks and Spencer fresh lemon juice with tonic water. Sprig of mint

Robinsons used to do a lime and mint cordial. Had mojhito vibes served with soda water over ice

They still do. It’s delicious!

Love the London Essence Grapefruit soda - Tescos has big cans otherwise the mixer ones are tiny!

Occasionalcyclist · 05/05/2026 08:24

Appetiser
Rose's lime cordial (still contains sugar not sweeteners) with soda water
Coconut water
Mango lassi

Another good one - Club Orange. More readily available in Ireland but can be found in the world food aisle of large supermarkets or on amazon

I love Club orange.

I'm in Scotland so can occasionally find it here too but it's not a sure thing.

Have you tried their Rock Shandy?

I love rubicon mango sparkling drink jn a can

Verv · 05/05/2026 14:16

I dont think that an ice cold full diesel coca-cola from a glass bottle can be beaten, but i love old jamaica ginger beer too, particularly in summer.

StasisMom · 05/05/2026 14:16

I like Aqua Libra.

Ramblingaway · 05/05/2026 14:32

Alcohol free lager with a good lemonade on top. Always liked a shandy and now it can be booze-free. Any of the alcohol free lagers seem to work apart from Becks Blue, which is vile.

Belvoir Ginger cordial with fizzy water - very very gingery with no sweetners, and unlike the considerably more expensive Mother Root Ginger, doesn’t have any apple cider vinegar in it.

Cawstons press rhubarb

soda stream fizzy water with ice and lemon/lime slices and fresh mint sprig.

Elderflower cordial, sometimes lime cordial. Or just a bit of whatever fruit juice we’ve got in with a lot of water to top it up.

Also I tend to make large jugs of iced tea in the summer when it’s really hot and keep them in the fridge (when we have room).

Also agree with whoever said just tonic water.

I bought some botivo over xmas as a non alcoholic option - all the reviews raving about it completely failed to mention that the main ingredient is apple cider vinegar, and it’s very much the dominant taste of it for me, albeit with lots of herbs etc. Even when very diluted as per instructions. I find it just about palatable with a strongly flavoured tonic water, in a “weirdly slightly compelling medicinal” way, but I won’t buy more after it’s used up.

These arrived today, impressed so far (tried the grapefruit) and no sweeteners

Luscombe drinks are delicious, you can buy a box of mixed flavours from their website, their ginger beers are great. I don’t drink anything with artificial sweeteners. Waitrose lemonade remains sweetener free, only in one litre bottles though, wish they still sold it in cans…
