What are your favourite naice soft drinks?

I don't drink alcohol but I do like having something naice to drink if I'm sitting out in the sun.
Something a bit more interesting than plain old coca-cola/fanta etc.

I quite like elderflower cordial with sparkling water, or soda and lime but would like some suggestions of something new to try!

I really dislike the taste of artificial sweeteners so tend to avoid any diet or "light" versions. I used to love Ginger Ale but it's impossible to find one that hasn't had all the sugar replaced with sweeteners.

Roses lime cordial

MissAmbrosia · 04/05/2026 20:33

I love a virgin mary. I tried a virgin aperol spritz recently and it was horrid.

REALLYbigpigeon · 04/05/2026 20:34

Dalstons cherry or rhubarb
Crodino (non alcoholic spritz, lovely stuff)
plain tonic
sparking water with cucumber and lime

CordeliaNaismithVorkosigan · 04/05/2026 20:52

M&S peach iced tea, and Fever Tree blood orange soda and pink grapefruit soda.

Robinsons used to do a lime and mint cordial. Had mojhito vibes served with soda water over ice

I like this one too. I've also tried making a half glass of it (diluted with water) and then adding Don Simon Pineapple & Coconut drink as the second half.
Tart it up with a sprig of mint and ice if you want to really live it up.

landlordhell · 04/05/2026 21:26

0% beer or a nice tonic water.

CoffeeAndCakeBringMeJoy · 04/05/2026 21:30

Fentimans rose lemonade

donotmissyourchancetoblow · 04/05/2026 21:35

San pellegrino peach and clementine

coconut water but only the vita coco in the white carton. The others taste vile!

Robinson fruit cordial the lime and mint or rhubarb and raspberry. I dilute them with fizzy water and they’re delicious

lime cordial and soda water with fresh lime squeezed in

PShelp · 04/05/2026 21:39

We have a soda stream and i quite often make syrups to go with it - e.g. lemon and sugar (and mint), keeps for a a good while in a jar in the fridge and just add to the fizzy water!

JennyForeigner · 04/05/2026 21:41

Lidl do some Italian bittery sort of non boozy campari ish things in tiny bottles that are v nice and definitely a treat

Teacup40 · 04/05/2026 21:44

Unfortunately Fentimans now has sweetener in it so i don't buy it anymore which is a shame as I loved their rose lemonade. I've recently discovered Lidls ginger cordial which is sweetener free, if you have that with sparkling water it's very close to ginger beer. They do an elderflower one too they are only £2.50 a bottle which for cordial without sweetener is a bargain! I hate that it's so hard to find a nice drink that's not filled with chemical crap!

Mattsmum2 · 04/05/2026 21:44

Another one for Kombucha. I love elderflower and lemon. Put it in a wine glass and you really feel it’s something special without the alcohol.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 04/05/2026 21:49

Kombucha, especially from LA Brewery - I buy crates from their website.
San Pellegrino Limon - not the other flavours, they are too sweet.

Dash sparkling waters and Karma soft drinks are my go-to (cherry and lemon are my favs, but orange is also great - no sweeteners!). I also like to make an alcohol free hugo spritz.

I had a Karma orangade in a café yesterday, it was lovely.

I wonder where you can buy them, haven't seen them in shops.

Liking all the grapefruity suggestions too.
Currently enjoying the grapefruit San Pellegrino which does have sweetener but it's Stevio which seems to taste ok.

Been toying with getting a soda stream for ages!

Motherroot and soda. It's a tangy ginger. Proper ginger, nothing insipid about it.

hahabahbag · 04/05/2026 21:58

Ginger cordial from Lidl is nice or make your own, it’s very simple. As a ready to go drink in pubs I like the pink fevertree drink or plain tonic with a slice of lime.

Ohfudgeoff · 04/05/2026 21:58

Cawston press rhubarb 😍

Fix8 sicilian lemon 😍

You can buy Karma drinks on Amazon.

@OneBusyFinch

many of choose lower calorie options and some must for health reasons eg type 2 diabetic. I personally can’t taste anything weird with sweeteners and prefer less sweet things anyway

LameStrangeNameChange · 04/05/2026 22:03

Purdey’s, especially the berry one

Aqua Libra, cucumber and mint

Fresh lime juice with sparkling water

mixcross · 04/05/2026 22:04

I don't drink and I don't like sweeteners even stevia tastes like crushed paracetamol to me. I drink cordials with fizzy water usually, appetizer and Irn Bru 1901. I used to love the San Pellegrino fruit drinks but they are ruined now. If anyone can recommend any nice soft drinks without stevia or artificial sweeteners I'd appreciate it! I'm especially on the look out for an orange based drink.

BarbarianBabs · 04/05/2026 22:05

My top two favourites are sparkling water with half a fresh lime squeezed in or The lingonberry cordial from ikea, made probably stronger than the manufacturer intended 😆
