What age did you get engaged, married and have kids?

As I feel life is too short and I’m just throwing my life away. Me and my girlfriend are 33 and have just bought a house and are yet to get engaged, married and have kids. But because the cost of everything else we’ve just saved up for a house and have thought about the said stuff to a later time. But as said we both feel it’s a ticking time bomb to have marriage and kids, because for a woman after 35 it’s gets harder to have children. We’ve been together since 26, but all of this cost of living has made our lives a bit further behind than we’d like to be.

Anyone else in a similar situation?

Engaged 31, married 32, DC 36 & 38. Id recommend TTC asap if you want kids. Now at 43 I kind of wish I wasn’t parenting quite this young kids anymore, DC2 being 5.

And house…well I was 41 and kids were 4 and 2. Lived in apartments until then.

While I wouldn’t have had kids before being married and settled in my own career/house - also having some previous long term relationships with lovely but unsuitable men - I do wish I’d been a tad younger! Being a 56 year old mum to a teenager is hard

There was one in between but I don't have to try very hard to forget that one.

Engaged at 17, bought 1st house at 19, ( didn't move in until we were married - it was a doer-upper) married at 20, 1st child at 21.
Now 58 & just celebrated our 38th anniversary. 3 children, 7 grandchildren.

House (together) at 33, married 35 (engaged under 6 months), DC at 37. However we only got together at 32; if we’d been together since 26 I’d have expected to be further on. I bought a flat on my own at 30 having been in shared rented beforehand; if I’d had someone to live with would have expected a house to happen sooner as that had always been my priority.

Had my first child at 19. I'm now 31 and just got engaged last month(my fiancé isn't my daughters dad), planning on getting married at 34 and we are currently trying for a baby.

Met at 25. House and engaged at 26. Married at 27. Dc at 29 and 31.

Met DH: 29, but only a couple of weeks before my 30th birthday

Husband is a year older than I am - been married 46 years now.

Engaged at 22, married at 23, first DC at 23 (a month shy of my 24th birthday), second DC at 27 and third at 30.
Still married, 39 years later this year.

Engaged at 20 alongside buying our house, married at 22, first IVF treatment at 23 and eventually had our son at 28 after many failures and miscarriages.

Engaged at 34, married at 35, Dd1 at 36, brought our first and forever home at 37, Ds2 at 38.

Married at 28
First Child at 30
Second Child at 35.

We had a huge house move though between first and second child from Scotland to England.

Mortgage paid off at 46 but we did get on the property ladder at 21 and had big profits on a couple of properties.

Now 58.

Engaged 3 years after we met. Together 16 years now, never bothered with the wedding, spent our money on a house instead, and didn't have kids (I'm too old now). Everyone has their own path.

Bought flat 26, engaged 29, married 30, first child 31, moved to a house 35, second child 36.

Never engaged or married child at 35 bought first home 52!

Met husband at 18, moved in together at 23, engaged at 28, bought house at 30, married at 33, no kids.
