What age did you get engaged, married and have kids?

As I feel life is too short and I’m just throwing my life away. Me and my girlfriend are 33 and have just bought a house and are yet to get engaged, married and have kids. But because the cost of everything else we’ve just saved up for a house and have thought about the said stuff to a later time. But as said we both feel it’s a ticking time bomb to have marriage and kids, because for a woman after 35 it’s gets harder to have children. We’ve been together since 26, but all of this cost of living has made our lives a bit further behind than we’d like to be.

Anyone else in a similar situation?

Had a baby at 24, engaged at 25, married at 26, divorced at 28 .

Engaged at 24, married at 25, DC1 at 27, DC2 at 30. Met DH when I was 21 and I’m now 32, and while we don’t own our own home, we bought farmland/buildings (or put them up) together and run our own business, and plan to eventually build on a small section of our land, if that’s relevant.

Engaged at 21, married 6 months later, DC at 29, 31 and 33.

Engaged at 25, bought our house at 29, married at 30, had child at 31 (almost 32). Looking back at that, we packed a lot into a short space of time! But in hindsight, we wasted time (and money) planning a certain type of wedding and we probably should have just eloped then cracked on with the baby-making 😂 But we are very fortunate to have our beautiful DD and be a happy “one and done” family, so it worked out ok!

Engaged at 27, married at 29, then are TTC from next year when I’m 31.

Bought first house 23, Engaged 26, married 27, first child 30.

Engagement 31, house 32, married 33 DS 39. We never intended to have children but he was a very happy accident.
He's nearly 18 and off to uni in the autumn.

You also don’t have to spend a load of money on a wedding. Registry office and pub meal, reasonable priced ring and boom… you’re done and just have to save to have kids. Much cheaper than eventual IVF if you wait too long…

I’m 27. I got engaged when I was 22, married at 24, had my son when I was 25 and had my daughter a few weeks ago.

Engaged 18, married 23, first child of 3 at 28, second 31, third 34. I think I got it about right but it was different in those days 🤣

About the right age to have grandchildren though 😍
