@TeaAndStrumpets instead of looking at watched threads, try “threads I’m on” and hopefully it’s there and you don’t have to click a link from emails anymore

TodayIsatrickyone · 09/06/2026 10:09

Morning all
Hope everyone can have a good as can be day.

A quiet one here. Managed a shower which I haven’t been able to do for a couple of days so that’s my achievement.
DDs last exam today 🎉 so last ever school run for DH! It will be very strange as we had a big gap between our two so between us we’ve been doing school runs for over 20 years now!

Thanks for the suggestion but it's not there. I think I'll unwatch for a few hours and try again later. I did click unwatch then watch again before but maybe I should have waited longer!

Gosh you each deserve a medal for that! Almost 5 year gap was bad enough for me 😉

TeaAndStrumpets · 09/06/2026 11:57

Problem solved! I must have accidentally pressed 'hide' so it's fine now!

TodayIsatrickyone · 09/06/2026 12:20

Yay! 🙌 Well done on working it out @TeaAndStrumpets that sounds exactly the kind of thing I’d do!

TeaAndStrumpets · 09/06/2026 13:06

Yes typical of me 😊

I am feeling a bit better after the osteopath yesterday. One thing I've noticed is I get a bit unsettled afterwards, hard to explain but yesterday I felt shaky and had a few hours of upset tum. Fine today!

CoffeeBeansGalore · 09/06/2026 13:19

Hi all

Skimming. Sorry just a bit shattered last few days.
Sounds like I'm not the only one needing to take it easy.
Feet up with a cuppa 😊

Dozymoo42 · 09/06/2026 14:04

Just a quick catch up of posts😊

can confirm newborn baby cuddles were very restorative 🥰

But am back resting today don’t feel as bad as I have been previously but still tired and achey so listening to my body and resting as much as I can.

Hope everyone has a peaceful day!

Another week another infection

the doctor has said they think it’s resistant to antibiotics so they need to work out exactly what the infection is so more drugs more tests

Thank you @Dozymoo42

TodayIsatrickyone · 09/06/2026 15:59

Sorry to hear that @ValleyClouds hope you get some answers soon 🤞

Swanhilde · 09/06/2026 17:06

Home from work and in bed with a cuppa, a fruit scone and some smelly cheese 😋

I'm completely exhausted today. Really thought I'd been careful with the gardening at the weekend but that's the only thing I can think of. Bl**dy bindweed 😡

Will be a quiet evening and an early night again 🥱

Sleep well all 💕

Orangesandlemons77 · 09/06/2026 17:13

Quiet day here, napped a lot, been in the garden for a bit too which was nice, sunny and music fresher than in the heatwave.

Got the friends and family thing this evening but think only one of my sons is attending, someone anyway!

Orangesandlemons77 · 09/06/2026 17:20

*thing with the fatigue clinic. Won't let me edit for some reason.

TeaAndStrumpets · 09/06/2026 17:39

Another day when I feel guilty for doing absolutely nothing. I fell asleep after lunch then jolted awake thinking my DD1 was talking in the kitchen but just a dream apparently! All I did yesterday was chat to osteopath's receptionist for 20 minutes (I was early) chat 30 minutes while having my treatment, then home. My brother rang me about some health stuff which worried me a bit. Maybe it was that. All these things add up I suppose, enough to get the adrenaline up. I hate this illness, I feel useless every day.

ValleyClouds · 09/06/2026 17:55

Thanks @TodayIsatrickyone

Ah bless you that is a very kind thing to say. This thread has been a lovely safe space for me too. All in it together!💕

Hugs to you @TeaAndStrumpets

Fingers crossed for some answers @ValleyClouds

I am always comforted when I come onto the thread and @Swanhilde is in bed with tea and cheese.

Flipping long day here. Didn't sleep well - it felt like I was awake all night but I must have dozed off a bit. Was running a full day event online at work, which is always a lot of concentration. And then a house viewing! Which was very nice and I've said I'm interested, should find out tomorrow (felt like a bit of an audition as they had several viewings so it basically comes down to who they like best I guess).

I actually haven't felt too bad symptom-wise since Sunday - maybe all the crying? Maybe because I have something else occupying my mind? Or possibly I'm just running on adrenaline. Anyway, the rest of the week should be quieter.

The house viewing does sound hopeful. Is it big enough for your stuff? Main thing. Hopefully you'll be spoilt for choice.

Yes @Swanhilde is a lovely fixture on our thread with her tea and cheese, an example to us all to Keep Calm and Carry On....not to mention Dig for Victory!

I'm going to settle down with a favourite audiobook now, very calming.

Oioiqueen · 09/06/2026 21:32

I've been quiet as not much to report but have been silently cheering you all on or commiserating with you.

I'm starting to feel the cumulative effects of the chemo now. I didn't really get fatigue, it then started creeping in after the last session of the cycle and today after the second of the third weeks I'm floored. I'm really dreading next week for how much worse it'll be. I've barely been able to string a coherent sentence together this evening and wading through treacle every time I move. I think I'll shortly be going to bed and trying to sleep the effects of. I'm worried about getting through work and then my voluntary work tomorrow to be honest.
