turnout in one our wards was only 32% another one surprised at the influx of threads, must admit I am worried my borough will go reform it’s one they are heavily targeting especially in the outer parts which was flag shagger territory combined with vandalism of the ulez cameras.

We had rain and a clap of thunder in the early hours of this morning. Woke me up! Thankfully, I now go straight back to sleep 😴

I think most of Tyne and Wear has local elections. Hopefully they don't emulate Durham.

I can feel the heavy rain we have on the way. Hopefully it gets rid of whatever has set DS2's hay-fever off because I've never known him to have it so bad. I ended up tumble drying his bedding, this afternoon, even though it would have line dried ok.

We've got rain forecast overnight, showers for tomorrow so I am going to get soggy doing archery. Oh well.

What annoys me about these local elections is that I'm in one of the areas that is changing boundaries, so because of Reform and their court case, it will all be to do again next year. That's my tax money being thrown away.

My area has had it's driest April since records began. Desperate for rain but we only have 0.5mm forecast for today.

The Green Party has complained to the Times' editor about this cartoon which they say pushes antisemitic tropes against Zack Polanski by portraying him with a hooked nose.

"Zack faces daily anti-semitism, and in the past six weeks two people have been arrested for anti-semitic actions towards him."

Had a couple of really nice warm sunny days here rounded off by a heavy downpour about ten minutes ago grass is grateful it feels very stormy I have a banging headache.

We could really do with the rain. Although the local forecast said 'heavy rain' around 6pm, we've just had a pathetic sort-of spit.

Finally home! Shit show involving cancelled trains and rail replacement buses. Been on the move since 7am. I have gin. Now to gird the loins for Senedd election stuff.

As I said earlier it started spotting with rain over 2 hours ago and that's all it's done since - no 'heavy rain' as forecast - really disappointing for the garden

We've had rain this afternoon. Dh and our 2xds are camping in the Brecon Beacons- they walked up Pen Y Fan this morning and have more walks planned for tomorrow. They are slightly soggy, but the tents are holding up.

I'm telling my sister who's staying over Monday night, that the garden doesn't need a mow.

Update on bird's nests. The adorable coal tits are nesting in the bird box. Such attentive parents.

I'm buying a bird bath.

Thanks for the new thread, cat tax in the form of a sad cat whose “brother” my big grey and white boy has been missing since the second week in April. With everything going on here it does feel like the last straw ☹️

When our lovely boy went missing, I just couldn't sleep properly.

Turned out he was hiding in a hole he couldn't get out from in a neighbor's house.
