It's hard not to remember all the loony left councils that spent all meetings voting on making their borough "nuclear free" in the 1980s.

Every so often "the algorithm" can throw up something that can give the appearance of being profound. Does this articulate some deep truth about some of our more turquoise citizens ?

I’ve seen a suggestion on Threads that we should inundate the Reform SMs for our constituencies with mundane questions so they have no time to be a nuisance - or if they don’t respond to have evidence they don’t actually help constituents a fat lot.

They will just ignore them.

Ive looked all over the Senedd website and while it talks about reasons for recall of an SM it doesn’t say how they would be replaced. I’ll probs send the query to a PC representative too, since I actually want an answer. I assume email addresses will be made available momentarily…

There are plenty of local councillors who have gone decades doing fuck all, safe in the knowledge that the less than 1 in 3 people who can actually be arsed to vote will return a pig in a rosette.

I did find something on reddit that says the seat goes to the next person on the list, but if an independent the seat remains vacant.

As with many things relating to Reform their core support won’t care. Might deter some waverers. Might not. It’s something to do - and after all they work for us…

I notice there is a lot of this 👆 going on with the Tory contingent at the moment. They don't seem to have noticed their own party's dire performance or that the Tories have essentially been replaced by Reform.

Is the next person on the list the next person of that party or the person in 7th place? Really dislike the lack of option for a by election (Senedd).
