I’m not talking about going on marches, but minor things, that you know about.

Mine is I won’t play Michael Jackson songs, after all the alleged behaviour, which certainly wouldn’t be accepted by today’s standards.

The second is I won’t buy McCain products, after they put out an advert for Smileys, which referred to ‘knocker’s’ in them. I thought that language had died out in the seventies.

I turn loo rolls round if they're not hung in my preferred orientation. This annoys my brother, which adds to my vague sense of gleeful naughtiness.

I set my investment account not to invest in any American companies after that orange fuckwit was re-elected. Also refuse to go to the US on work trips until someone sane is back in charge.

I ask annoying questions about the lack of diversity in my company's senior management team. I was banned from doing that last year and am delighted that someone else has started doing it instead.

I don't shop anywhere that decks themselves out in anti-women colours or makes derogatory statements about pro-women campaigners.

Actually those are all great (depending on whether you prefer the mullet or the beard loo roll placement) 🤣

I don't get why trans girls don't just join mixed sex beavers/cubs/scouts. My girls are in these organisations and love it.

Feels like the parents are trying to make a point by enrolling them into an all girls organisation.

No such thing as a transgirl.

Oh yes that old line. I bet you don’t judge the whole ‘18yo man getting a 13yo child pregnant’ either.

Even if they didn’t claim a penny, the cost of maternity, education, health etc for that many people is far more than they will ever earn, let alone pay back.

The older children don’t seem to work either. Apparently having children is now a career choice

I didn’t say anything about any of the other points so not sure how you jumped to that conclusion.

Mullet for the loo roll, beard for the husband.

That line about benefits always comes out. You defended them and I was pointing out the amount of public money they have taken just by having such a ridiculously large family.

Given the issue a lot of people have centres around a grown man getting a child pregnant, It’s like saying ‘well Jimmy Savile did raise a lot of money for charity’.

Ouch (although howling at the beard comment 🤣) - I’m afraid I’m on the side of your brother 🤣

I wont buy from Shien, Temu or Starbucks. I'm going to have to read up on Nestle and Lush it seems. I very rarely buy from Amazon and I'm trying to persuade my Husband to cancel his Prime account.

I'm not a huge Rylan fan anyway, but I turn off Radio 2 on a Saturday when he has his Mum on to chat shit about what she is doing that day. Who cares and how is that entertainment? It's inane bullshit and I can't believe the Beeb have stooped that low for a radio segment.

I pretty much stopped listening to radio 2 during the week when they messed up with Simon Mayo, Ken Bruce, employing Scott Mills (prior to recent revelations). Jeremy Vine and Jo Whiley only for me, and then some weekend listening. Not sure that's rebellious....

I keep a “guides against trans exclusion” badge on my uniform
separately, give blood because I once had a teacher tell me she hoped I got cervical cancer to teach me a lesson because I didn’t have the HPV vaccine due to needle phobia. As soon as I got older and could deal with them I caught up on all my vaccines and started giving blood as my way of putting two fingers up at her

So when asked, my 12 year old daughter and her friend who are both Guides said they felt more comfortable with just girls in their space and don't want Trans people there, they get people like you with your fucking badge telling them that their feelings and choices aren't worth a wank. I'm glad their Guides leader doesn't make them feel guilty for knowing their own minds by wearing such a virtue signalling badge.

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 20/04/2026 23:10

I am biased because being a guide was one of the most hideous experiences of my life and I hated every second of it BUT I can only imagine how much worse it would have been if boys pretending to be girls were included,

Still, sod the feelings of the girls presumably 🤷‍♀️

I feel sorry for the Guides being passive aggressively made to feel guilty if they have a different opinion to this individual parading theirs on a badge for all to see

Rubyeagle · Yesterday 22:45

What in the world is the mullet or the beard for toilet paper.
You can have your toilet paper whichever in your own home, but if you changed it in my house, I wouldn’t let you use my toilet ever again!
I am trying to buy better so am trying to buy UK/EU made first.
I tried to avoid Nestle but it’s so hard. So many companies! Palm oils are also in everything too.
My little rebellion is I always press the stop button on pedestrian crossing, and the walk off.

Seabubbles · Yesterday 22:49

ADowning · Yesterday 07:26

We don’t have any trans girls in our unit, in fact I don’t think anybody in my district does. The issue around single sex spaces is one I leave to the people who are in charge, making sure those who might be impacted by transphobia still feel safe in my unit is for me to deal with.

I presume you don't deem Transphobia as pre teen and teenage girls wanting a girls only space. Transphobia as a word is so overused now it has no impact, it's almost been cheapened.

Me too - it can’t be a safe space for girls and boys in dresses. And it’s directly contrary to their policies, which surely is a potential safeguarding issue in itself.

Girls being told they aren't allowed to say no to boys.

I snuck out the house in the wee hours when I was 19 and spray painted NO POLL TAX! on an underpass.
I don't buy several brands because of their shitty ethics.
I bought large ADULT HUMAN FEMALE stickers and stuck them on loo doors at work (university).
I wrote to Professor Stock, thanking her.
I throw wildflower seed 'bombs' into verges in the Spring.
I refuse to laugh politely or applaud if I dislike a speaker at an event.
I won't go through the pockets of fully capable adults' trousers before washing.

I have not bought any Ballymaloe products since Darina Allen’s husband Tim was found guilty of having over 1000 child pornography images on a laptop.

can we please you child sexual abuse material. It’s not pornography.

Absolutely - who wants to support a woman who wrote an innocuous tweet on social media and was subject to death threats by men who claim to be women, ironically using stereotypical male aggression.

She could have kept her head down as she’s rich enough but no, she has put her money where her mouth is and set up charities to support women and girls including large amounts of her own money.

A dodgy woman, clearly 🙄

I'm glad you can see that she's a "dodgy woman", to put it mildly.

This may have come up already, but…

I NEVER buy anything through an influencer’s affiliate link, even if there’s a 10% discount or whatever.

Brands that use influencers in this way will almost certainly have other discount offers you can use (usually with a first purchase etc.)

I just can’t give my money to someone who waves a lipgloss at a camera and screams “THIS IS LEGIT THE BEST LIPGLOSS I’VE EVER TRIED GUYS” from their bedroom.

Jews don’t get to define what constitutes racism against them? Wtf??

Seriously, what did you expect me to say? ‘Ooh ok thanks for setting me straight, I can see now how wrong I was, please send my apologies to Mark..’?

You can define what you think constitutes racism against you but if you decide to call people an anti-Semite with no evidence, of course you will get push back.

"I squash Israeli produce in M&S and Asda."

@nomas - you do realise that you can't delete a comment by editing it out don't you?

Yep because there are posters here who will round up on anyone who expresses a less than positive comment about Israel.

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · Today 07:51

Well you are very wrong, perhaps avoid making assumptions about people you don’t know?

You are the one who leapt in to say they don’t claim benefits when the main point was a man got a child pregnant and now they are celebrated by having their own show.

I am surprised you didn’t caveat it but that’s up to you.
