Foods and drinks that only taste good in certain situations

Food and drink.
It only taste good if or when?

i`ll start for me its the following.

Lucozade only taste`s good if im unwell.
Taco/ fajita wraps tast better cold.
Jacket potato taste better homemade, mirocwave ones yuk.
Hot lemon only taste good when ill.

I only drink tomato juice when I'm in an aeroplane, it's nowhere near as nice on the ground. There is apparently some scientific reason for it too.

Toast only tastes nice at home. No toast I've had at hotels, restaurants or hospitals is the same - never hot enough and often not nice bread.

Ice cream cornets taste better when bought out. However I try and make up an ice cream cone at home, it's never the same.

I'm opposite on toast ,I like it at a B&B from a toast rack and the fact someone has made it for me.

Freezing cold, full-sugar Coke to cure a hangover. Any other time it can get in the bin!

And a cup of tea always tastes better when someone else makes it!

Can't remember which TV programme it was but apparently croissants taste their best when warm and eaten from a paper bag!

I can't remember a nice croissant from a hotel. I only like them if if eat them at home, warmed in the oven. Maybe I should add a paper bag to add them to!

Fish and chips only really taste good out of the paper by the sea.
Red wine in winter, Rose in summer - I’m a seasonal wine swapper. White can bridge both but still veers more to summer.
Also, coffee in the morning, tea in the afternoon.

I only like water when it's icy cold and not straight from the tap.

Cereal tastes better at night.

Sandwiches and food in general tastes better at room temperature, not chilled.

Cider is only good when I’m hot, beer is far better from the cask not keg and never from a can

Hospital Toast is food of the gods and the best thing I've ever eaten.

fish & chips - best eaten outside or after a long day of fresh air and exercise

Tea and toast immediately after giving birth is food of the gods.

You are deluded!

I was made to eat a slice of toast after anaesthetic because I was nauseous and they wouldn't let me leave otherwise. I manfully ate it tiny piece by tiny piece.

You must be lucky where you are!

I've worked in NHS Trusts for over 30 years and they bought the cheapest, nastiest white loaves ever. Also as a patient I've only ever experienced cold toasts that are like cardboard, or soggy and still cold.

Also going with the fish and chips by the seaside, so so much better!
Soup only in winter
Would never drink instant coffee at home but it tastes ok if somewhere else

I haven't drunk a cup of tea made by someone other than myself in many many years.

In our house we all make our own drinks, how else will it taste the right way?!

Well it doesn’t taste good in any situation now!

Mince pies but only in the second half of December.

Biscuits after an operation, other than then I never eat them.

An ice-cold Coke after a long walk. I don't drink, so it's Coke or Fentiman's rose lemonade in the pub for me, and they both taste amazing when I've been out on the fells for hours.

Thats just weird😂

A meat pie eaten scalding hot out of the foil tray - only at a football match on a freezing cold winter day, warms you up inside and out.
I’d never choose to eat one anywhere else.

Soup is only nice eaten from a bowl, never drunk from a mug.
Crockery must be china and cutlery must be metal, everything tastes rubbish off plastic or paper plates, eaten with plastic or wooden cutlery.
